DARKSOFT New CPSIII Ultra Simms! 8 times the size of a regular SIMM

There are "open simms" which is an open source alternative but they're not sold as ultra simms. There's definitely only one ultra simm

@Darksoft I noted that dip switch selection codes are different on the written guide (shared on the first post) and whats on highscoresaves.com. Wondering which one is correct and if one of these needs to be corrected.

I do know the manual is wrong.

Also the 3rd Strike that has the dots on the date code on boot is the Makoto Fix for rev. A I believe.

I have an ultrasimm setup, and it keeps freezing on new generation? Reflash?Refresh? It doesnt get passed the region select screen, ive tried every region . Second I press to select it freezes

Which version of the games did you write to the SIMM1 and SIMM2? Custom or SH2? and which cps3 cart do you have? Is it custom or SH2?

So this whole setup was gifted to me years back, i have the flash tool with it aswell PROMAN 86, but the problem i face is theres a wire that goes from the flasher to each simm, its damaged in my case. The link wires for all the simms on the board is intact and obviously works, Where can i get that ribbon cable again?

Its custom made. Talk to @Mitsurugi-w, maybe he can help make you one.

But the main problem still persists. Your motherboard is defective.

If Mitsu can't help, I can make you one too.

Were you able to write U9/U10 on SIMM2 with the same setup/cables etc? If so, you may potentially have the same issue that was present on a friend on mines setup when I was trying to write his SIMMs, fortunately they were replaced by DS as it was deemed faulty

Can you post a picture of your programmer with the programming board, UltraSIMM and cable? I tested the cables that I built for you with my programmer before shipping them out, so they should be good.

So i was able to write simm 2 perfectly fine, I think my Simm1 is bad, i cant load sf3 new generation, but can load any other rom. Im convinced its just a bad simm. Your cables are fine!
