New Namco System 2 Multi

Are the Steel Gunner games supported on this?
They are A/D gun games like Operation Wolf or Rambo, not light gun. From the looks of the manual it doesn't seem have any special IO daughterboard required. Though I could be wrong, all the manuals I've found are really poorly scanned. But it looks to be connected through a header on the PCB.

There you go. Different video PCB.

Here is some clarity on Donors PCBs for this.
For reference System 2 is a 2 PCB stack including a CPU board (the top board with the JAMMA edge) and a Video board (the bottom board), Final Lap also included a small 3rd board attached to the video board with some extra ROMs.

there are 2 version of the CPU board "8618961200" which is the standard CPU board and "8618961805" which was used on a lot of the non-standard games like Final Lap and Suzuka. Though I've seen these occasionally mixed and matched (for instance I've seen an Ordyne and Super World Stadium with the 8618961805, and I've also seen a For Trax and Steel Gunner 2 with a 8618961200).

there are at least 7 different Video board variants... and only 1 of them is a good donor for the multi:
"8618961200" (notice it's the same exact number as the standard CPU board, that's because this is the standard video board.)
the Good Video Board donor is used by:
Assault
Assault Plus
Bubble Trouble - Golly! Ghost! 2
Burning Force
Cosmo Gang the Video
Dirt Fox
Dragon Saber
Finest Hour
Golly! Ghost!
Kyuukai Douchuuki
Marvel Land
Mirai Ninja
Ordyne
Phelios
Rolling Thunder 2
Super World Stadium
Super World Stadium '92
Super World Stadium '92 Gekitouban
Super World Stadium '93
Valkyrie no Densetsu

The other 6 BAD/Not compatible Video boards are:
8618961301 - Used by Metal Hawk
8618961701 - Used by Steel Gunner 1 and 2
2272961200 - "V56 VIDEO" used by Final Lap 1, 2, and 3
8618961900 - Used by Final Lap 1, 2, and 3
8618962_02 - "SYSTEM2 VIDEO(D)" Used by Suzuka 8 Hours 1 and 2
8618962_00 - "SYSTEM2 VIDEO(E)" Used by Lucky & Wild

And as a follow up post (hopefully dont mind  ) i also have few notes about this and can help others to choose the perfect donor .

I tried on the right specific hardwares (gholly ghost & world stadium 93 almost games that will work in the multi , but all works)

Buy the World Stadium 92 On Your Risk

- World Stadium 92 - the game itself works 100% and didnt use DAT area from graphic suboard , but when i tried phelios or other set , had graphic gliches - (no success because custom chip CUS102 was bad) .

Is World Stadium 92 (this game is working correctly, but other games who access that custom chip, have gliches begaviour) .

When he purchased from Japan, the seller only showed this game on the crt (now when we tested with other games we found the culpit - in fact @Hammy discovered CUS102 if is faulty , when lets say , on the board with CUS102 you want to play Phelios, RT2 , etc, then you will see the glitches if that custom is bad)

Thanks for the clarity on this.
It makes more sense now why those games were excluded.

OK, so I'm thinking if 16 slots would be enough. It doesn't have sense to have more for baseball games. You can have have hacks, trainers or develop new homebrews.

Here is a list that comes to my mind. Comments?

assault
assaultp
burnforc
cosmogng
dirtfoxj
dsaber
dsaberj
finehour
marvland
marvlandup
mirninja
ordyne
phelios
rthun2j
valkyrie
valkyriej

I'm not making any rompack or going to support any request for roms, Mame roms are not hard to find if you use google.
if dirt fox is a suitable baseboard set for this multi, then please put me down for a pre order!
