This isn't a small hobby project, this is Embracer. They had the Money to buy half a dozen well-known Developers and then do jack-shit with them, they have the money to produce Hardware they already sold.
I'm also not sure I'm buying the part shortage as a reason for the delay. Which fab could produce the "archaic" components used for an "authentic" AES and also produce current gen ram and co? (If I'm completely mistaken here please feel free to correct/educate me)

we really need clarity on whats going on. Ive asked for my ££ back today an will keep an eye on it into 2nd quarter 2027.

I requested yesterday aswell but no repsonse as of yet. Im gutted tbh but will order again next year if we hopefully go in the right direction

it took over 24 hours for me to get a response so be patient but im sure it will go thru.
 
To me, that’s a bit too much like Kickstarter...
I’ve now gone ahead and requested a refund as well, and I hope the money comes back without any problems...
 
I still have my Plaion and Amazon preorders in. I understand people being angry and not wanting to give their money that far in advance with no guarantees, but realistically they were never going to hit that date, and a year is nothing in this hobby at my age.

We should see one this week at TGS, they invited a lot of youtubers to check it out.

I'll be honest, given Plaion's past releases, if Furrtek and Jotego were not involved I'd be super skeptical. But it seems like they're truly trying to make something great here and I'll support it. Especially at $250, which is a drop in the bucket compared to everything else NeoGeo related.
 
It’s now the sixth day without a reply for me.
But that’s understandable, as they’ve probably received a few more enquiries ;)
 
I would assume there are getting a bunch of cancelations and refund requests. I'd say give it another few days and then do a CC chargeback.

Im also interested to see the response at this Tokyo games show and what the deal is here. Surely there should be a talk to someones explaining the whole shituation. If they just showcase with no substance then im thinking this is just a dance.
