Hi everyone,

Looking for a little help here. I bought this Powerstone 2 Naomi cart, and I'm pretty sure that it was converted and not original, but I would like to be sure. I've been looking for pics of the PCB online for confirmation, but I'm not having much luck, so I figured I would ask here since there it would get a lot of eyes on it. Thank you in advance for the advice and help. I would rather have an original.

The original Powerstone 2 cartridge used the 171-7919A board, but the board in the photo is 171-8132B, so it is clearly a conversion.
For a long time, there was no flash memory compatible with 171-8132B, so I was wondering how to convert it, and thanks to your photo, I found out. thank you. Can you take a close up picture so I can see the number written on the film under the flash chip?

Thank you very much for the details. This is exactly what I wanted to know. I'm glad that my post helped you, and I will take close ups of the board tonight.

Have a good day!

You can also verify the pcb sticker (841-0017B) with the part number for the game cart, in Mame's Naomi driver...

"Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation Vs. Zeon - 841-0017C"
"Power Stone 2 - 841-0008C"

(The letter that follows the part number)

A = for the Naomi mainboard
B = for the PCB
C = for the case of the PCB
D = for the case of mainboard
E = for communicationboard

Yes, this is the card I modified. It uses the s29gl128 chip adapter, which is very difficult to solder.

If anyone doesn't understand anything, they can consult. You are also welcome to customize these cartridges directly from me.

I am only responsible for providing renovation services to the boss. I'm sorry that everyone bought something that didn't meet their expectations.

Does this help?

Are the gerbers available for those adapters or does anyone sell them? I've got a naomi 2 cart with two bad roms I'd like to replace.

I don't want to publish the PCB file for this conversion board, sorry.

Because I need to subsidize my family, the salary in China is relatively low, and I can only earn $1000 a month.

Funny how you post a no I won't help post followed by a post asking for help. I know the solution to the problem you're having with the 171-7978b conversion too, oh well.
