Repair DOA++ ZN-1 Board

Hello,

Recently my Dead or Alive++ JAMMA ZN-1 board started posting an error whenever you press start on the main menu. You're stuck on this screen until you reset the game, where eventually it hits it anyways during attract play.

It appears to say:

Code: 
???  : BUS ERROR ON DATA REFERENCE
PROGRAM COUNTER : 800F16d18
THREAD LEVEL    : 03

I'm wondering if anyone here might either know of this error, how to resolve it, or if they can let me know what I need to get to flash a new set of the U0119 & U0120 chips - hoping they're the issue.

Hi! :)

The original chips is a Atmel AT27C080-90PC :) is OTP EPROM

But you can try with 27C080 eprom before with Atmel AT27C080-90PC :thumbup:

Hi,

I picked up a Wellon VP-598 and read the two chips (119 & 120). Unfortunately, they match my back-up copies, so these two chips are not corrupted it appears.

Do you know of a way to read the other 6 chips?
  1. DOAPP-0 E51 9838K7007
  2. DOAPP-1 E52 9838K7011
  3. DOAPP-2 E53 9838K7009
  4. DOAPP-3 E54 9838K7008
  5. DOAPP-4 E55 9838K7012
  6. DOAPP-5 E56 9838K7015
 
Hi :)

I have a second DOA being restored.

The very oxidized Rom Board, I had to depopulate the bare PCB like a worm lol.

I bought myself an XGecu T56 Programmer 56 Pin, because the Wellon is too limited to support certain chips

I will try to read them.

But check the solder of the Rom Board and the big connector.
