Hey Guys I screwed up .

My brother has a Sega Astro City Cabinet. I’ve got it working fast forward to last year, I moved it downstairs stepped on the power cable and pulled the wire out.

I ended up fixing it and I went to play it.

My brother and I both thought the other one unplugged it what ended up happening is it sparked, blew the breaker and turned off.

What’s happening how,
Sound and everything works, there is no display though. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Best regards

Recapping your chassi will 100% not solve your issue, dont even bother at this point.

Measure the power coming into the chassis first, if its at 0 check the filter board by where the wire comes into the cabinet, should have stable 110v coming out of it.

If you have 110v going into the chassis at the plug and the fuse is good you most likely have a blown resistor on the board (google how to measure them) or worst case your high voltage transformer is blown in which case youll need a new chassi.
