My 5v adjuster is loose from the board on my Blast City, so trying to carefully use a screwdriver to adjust, my hand slipped, and I must have shorted something because the whole cabinet turned off.
It wouldn't power on for a few minutes, then it would again, but the 5v line is weird now.
It only shows about 3 ish volts on meter, measured at my Naomi's JVS 5v connector. When I ADJUST the 5v voltage, I see it boost up to 4v or 5v, then is quickly back to 3 ish.
Will a simple cap replacement fix whatever is going on? Or do I need to test or try anything else? Thank you so much for any advice. I'm really bummed and concerned.
I was already in need of a cap replacement cos I was getting 11.5-11.6v on the 12v line, and 3v and 5v had to be pumped up pretty high to get correct voltage.
