Like the title says I had accidentally had my Astro city voltage way too high because my other board gave out and it was an issue that has no clear answer, and I’ve seen people have the same issue in the past. Pretty much a dead board. My theory is because it wasn’t responding to the drive. It wasn’t given enough power and when I had turned it up to see if it was a voltage issue, it wasn’t given power because of the drive wasn’t booting. Every time you would put the the cable into the disc drive it with short and turn off the drive. I just got a new motherboard and it was perfectly fine but for one before, I discovered it was giving any sort of signs of life like sound. I had it on the wrong setting because I’m dumb it was on 256 not 246 for the game I was trying to boot. Then I smelt the smell. The plastic. Switched it. Heard the sound. But it was too late. No video. Just sound I turned down the voltage to exactly 5 V 12. It was higher and enough to damage this capacitor. Considering that it has sound and everything else is responding do you think this is repairable? I’m really sad about this and I would like any advice. I’m also feeling pretty stupid. Thank you
