Hey all,

Trying to convert a Street Fighter EX ZN-1 board to EX + but not having much luck so far. I swapped the stock maskroms for M27C322s (32MBit) and the 4Mbit M5M27C402K for a 27C4002. I think these chips should work to replace the stock maskroms (definitely not a expert in this so would like confirmation if that is correct). They all program OK but all I get is the vertical SMTPE color bars which means the board never reaches the boot code from the looks of things. Has anyone done this conversion successfully? Am I missing something?

My understanding is that you will need to

1) replace the stock bios with something like the board Hammy offers

2) remove one of the onboard security chips (CAT something or other)

3) use the decrypted sfex+ roms


And you cant just simply upgrade to ex+ by just swapping roms.
