Sync issues with the HDMI converter for my MVS-Supergun project

I have recently purchased a supergun and a HDMI converter PCB from aliexpress and I was having this problem where the top and bottom lines would be shaking.

I read somewhere that a Sync cleaner might be helpful to fix this so problem so I made a little PCB using the usual LM1881 IC

Sent it to manufacture cheaply to the far east and I received last week so decided to put everything together straightaway

Tested it after the install

And as soon as I pressed scan it picked up and worked almost perfect

Does it make any sense? not sure what type of RGB output I'd expect from these sort of superguns...
