What's new
Are these still available? Just got my hands on a Tekken 5.1 Cab and would love to easily convert to Dark Resurrection or Capcom Fighting Jam

Brizzo has been trying to get them sold in between projects. He told us a month ago he only had few people left that contacted him.
Huh! Does he still check AP PMs, or is there a better way to reach him?

After seeing this, I PMed him both to express my interest in a dongle and notify him that there are others who have expressed interest in this thread.

I found out about SYS2X6 USB Dongle today.
I'm very interested and would like to get my hands on it.

I will trade my brizzo dongle for a Neo Candy 29 💪💪💪

Here to throw my name in the hat, want to turn my Taiko into a multi Taiko. Here hoping these are still getting made. PM'd him.

What does it do?
This device allows you to backup, verify, and write System 246/256 dongle data images.

Hardware
Supply is limited as each unit is assembled from a donor System 246/256 dongle, re-using several internal parts and the plastic shell.

Software
Windows is the only supported operating system at this time. SYS2X6 USB Dongle is designed to allow the end user to apply firmware updates via USB for bug fixes and feature improvements. Software is designed to be as simple as possible: select your file and press a button.

NAND Management
SYS2X6 USB Dongle stores image on NAND flash memory. By design NAND can have ‘bad blocks’ from the factory, which are sections of memory that cannot be used. The first block in memory has a table listing the known bad blocks to allow the host system to know not to use or access those regions. When programming a new image to the SYS2X6 USB Dongle the host software checks the bad block list and automatically updates the image to reassign data from bad block regions into unused good blocks.

USB Connection
Connector type is USB Micro-B, compatible with standard cable. SYS2X6 USB Dongle is designed to allow power from System 246/256 and/or host system at the same time. (ie; device can be installed into 246/256 while connected to a PC or RaspberryPi, no need to disconnect usb cable). The slot for the USB port is cut on a CNC router.

CD/DVD/HDD for Games

Questions ??

ok cool thanks can I play Namco system 246 on the 256 system which is better to get the 246 or the 256 Namco system

256, It has a Switch and can play both 246 and 256 games (as I recall there are 1-2 exceptions), but that device you posted the quote on, is at this point Vaporware... or Unobtainium... pick your metaphor... so depends on what you're asking / referring to... the 256 or the Key/Dongle

Vaporware... or Unobtainium... pick your metaphor...
Vaporware implies that it never materialized as an actual product (hence "vapor")... So I don't think that applies here since it definitely was produced... it's just no longer produced (for now at least)

What's the alternative now in absence of SYS2X6? Assuming flashing individual games to another dongle and burning a CD of HDD from image?
