Did you submit it to MAME? If not, may @MetalliC can point you in the right direction...I noticed the jumpers for MVP weren't listed in MAME and I've got an MVP board that I'm planning on converting to Cotton.
This is MVP (Japan)
ROM BOARD 171-5704
FD1094: 317-0142
These are the jumpers:
S2 S3 S6 S7 S9
S11 S13 S15 S17
Also A5-A8 uses AM27C100-155 EPROMs and A10 is a 27c256-15 the rest are Mask ROMs
usually I just tell RTWDid you submit it to MAME?
Well, I can get you halfway. Ace attacker only came on one rom board it looks like - 171-5358. here are the games that ran on the board. It's important to note that many games ran on many boards, so you need to find a 171-5358 romboard.Just for info, please...
I just acquire an Ace Attacker control panel and since i like sports game so much, what do i need to perform a conversion from tetris (or any other system 16B) to Ace Attacker?
If this is possible of course

I am not sure if Ace Attacker is encrypted, so you may just be able to burn the roms and boot it up. If your previous board used an FD1094/FD1089 for the CPU you'll need to swap in a normal 68000-10mhz cpu. I also don't see the jumpers documented, so your best bet is trying to find a photo of one that's working and use those. Otherwise you could find another game that uses the same rom sizes, and start with those jumpers.
This has been tripping me up a lot recently. Is there a way to determine in MAME source or looking at the ROM board etc. with 100% certainty if a chip should be 27c1000 or 27c1001?Main program ROMs will typically be 27C1000
I just got the Time Scanner board.Well, I can get you halfway. Ace attacker only came on one rom board it looks like - 171-5358. here are the games that ran on the board. It's important to note that many games ran on many boards, so you need to find a 171-5358 romboard.Just for info, please...

So i have to use the same eeproms on the romboard and burn Ace Attacker mame roms into them, ok.Looks like the right romboard and it's already using a regular 68000 CPU. Have you tried burning the roms for Ace Attacker? The reason you can't find decrypted sets might just be that they were never encrypted to begin with. The romset in MAME might work!
You'd have to burn all the other chips anyway. Only A5/A8 would be different from the MAME set. Give it a try.
Ace attacker use the FD1094 encrypted CPU module hence he can't perform this conversion (by burning the program ROMs from MAME set and using a 68000 CPU) unless he has the module or he is able to decrypt the code himself (or pay someone to do the job...)Looks like the right romboard and it's already using a regular 68000 CPU. Thanks i'll try with them.Try to contact Mark at Reroclinic:
http://www.retroclinic.com/leopardcats/decrypt/decryption.htm#decrypt
Or Chris a.k.a. JunoMan :
http://www.segaresurrection.com/
Although the decrypted ROM set is not listed, they can prepare it (paying them obviously..)
Yes the board is working perfectly.Accordcing to MAME sourc there is only one revision of Time Scanner and it's encrypted with the use of the FD1089B (317-0024) CPU module. So, since you have a regular 68000, you could have a not encrypted code from factory or a decrypted one from someone (or from factory too) ot someone simply took the module and put a 68000.Is the board working? It would be interesting if you could dump program code, maybe you found a new revision that I can send to MAME if you want (I'm part of Dumping Union list)
