3V on sync isn't SCART compatible (I use a SCART supergun), so no worries on my side.
But you're right, it's worth mentioning, I'm just myself lucky enough to have been born in SCART's country so I wrongly assume that's what everybody uses.

Anyone know what I'd need to do to a Gotek to work as a replacement?

Hello , we have Hot Rod 4 player and Gain Ground , we are looking for suicided system to use GOTEK floppy emulator , I don’t know what is the firmware that gotek need flashed , anybody can send us files of firmware , thanks

As stated in the thread. you should buy a model that comes PRE FLASHED with the "Flash Floppy" firmware. not doing this will lead to extra costs and time on your part to get that flashed.
