Three Wonders - strange problem after de suicide

Hey, i had my dead Three Wonders fixed by a friend;
He send me 4 new roms and made some little mod to the small board.
All is running fine now but the game selection screen is much darker than normal.
Is this some common issue?

It's missing most of the color red, isn't it? It's normal and is due to the way the game is programmed:

I believe there's a decrypted set that has it fixed.

You went with changed EPROMs! I hope you kept the originals with the real labels on them!

I just fixed my last night and I went with this (I was helping test the new code):

That being said, mine was on a working battery until I pulled the battery off to test the Open Key and during testing I did notice the game select screen is missing the color red as well as the game title screen (after you pick a game).

I tried it in MAME and it looks fine.

Is this a code error or is something wrong with my version that Capcom later fixed in the EPROMs? I thought this was an RGB issue that affected only some SuperGuns?

If it's a code thing, I'll have to let @ack know. Sadly I don't recall if my screen was like this before I pulled off the battery.

Yeah I saw those well, but no leads on a EPROM correction. I don't have my multi-CPS1 set up yet, but I assume the 3W uses the stock Capcom code and thus has the issue on SuperGuns and consumer CRTs?

Seem like a good one to hack if there is indeed a hack that can fix this.
