DARKSOFT Time crisis 4 working on standar system 256?

The hardware is physically different, the boot ROM is also different and the game is not coded to run properly on a Super 256.

i have a ss256 board i have from japan that ive used to gut for shell and common parts. should work fine if you can find out what i ripped off. no chips were removed. if youre interested or have an offer pm me. had no idea these were rare.

Hi
I used the special version of the dongle to play TC4 on a 256 regular, the game works totally, but it is much slower. I'd say, about 10% slower. Voices and sound are lower, and animations are slower. Is there a solution to overclock the processor and make the game as fast as on a Super 256?
ANY updates on same version? same speed?

Elsemi version was not a dongle patch, it was a HDD patch - and from memory was full speed, as it was sold to an operator, from memory the only thing gone was the sub woofer output, as regular 256 didn't have that extra audio bit. Honestly this was years ago (2009/2010?), the board was supplied by Alex (Serantes) and patched by Elsemi, who did a lot of stuff for Alex - I know the board was sold to Craig (giz10p) at the time for a customer, as I remember him moaning to me that the PC was full of Epoxy to stop access to the HDD or something, I was only the middle man in all this.

Pretty sure I watched a video of Alex playing it on a Naomi cabinet (he used Sega IR gun cab, with upscaler to convert 15k to 31k) as I remember him telling me how it was so much superior to Sega gun games.

Should have really kept a journal of what's what, who said what and such, but I tried to keep out of all the dramas (especially between Alex and Soyandroid, both hated each other), although I think Pablo (DarkSoft) knows all about this sort thing, Spanish guys (red blooded beasts).

@AndyGeezer good information and even more interesting story. We certainly like to see you around and I'm sure that you have interesting stories to tell and advices to give.
