twistedsymphony's adventures in making PCBs.

I currently have the short version of Cue-Brick (single PCB). I know it is not the exact long variant you mentioned, but if you think this short version could be of any use for your research, dumping, or the multi project in general, you can count on it. Let me know if it helps!
I already own that short variant but I appreciate the offer. That particular version is not on the Twin-16 hardware so unfortunately it doesn't help with this project.

I have good news, and even better news.

Good news is that Cadash has been successfully patched and is now fully running on my Taito Asuka hardware multi!

Even better news is that Bonze Adventure has also been ported to this hardware!

Gameplay and graphics are great, however the Asuka sound hardware is completely different, I used AI to help port the music and sound effects and it works but isn't the best quality. I'm not sure it can get any better but it is playable! If there is anyone who is an expert in working with samples and synthesizers for porting music and sound effects and wants to take a crack at it let me know.

This means that the complete game list includes:

1. Asuka & Asuka
2. Bonze Adventure (ported)
3. Cadash
4. Galmedes
5. Kokontouzai Eto Monogatari
6. Maze of Flott
7. U.N. Defense Force: Earth Joker
8. U.N. Defense Force: Earth Joker (prototype)

This means that I'm now software complete

This is the current state of Syvlion on Record Breaker/Go For the Gold/Tetris PCB:

Graphics Rom region required some trace cuts and bodge wires to enable the A17 pin to upgrade from 1Mbit to 2Mbit ROMs, this left the CE pin floating which is why you get some jail bars and other artifacting.

Currently there is a 1byte patch that forces the game to render in 15kHz instead of 25kHz but the result is that it only gives you the upper left portion of the frame. This is why I need access to an original PCB, I need to figure out how the medium resolution line processing circuit works so I can run it without this patch and have it output properly in medium resolution.

Similarly I also need to document the trackball circuit. I do have another patch on this ROM that allows it to be played with a joystick.

There's no audio in this clip but that should just work. unfortunately Taito used some odd-ball Mask ROMs for samples that have no EPROM equivalent (they've got the pinout of a 27c4096 but can be and are configured for 8-bit operation, which a 27c4096 EPROM can't do). so right now I've just go the record breaker sample ROMs installed right now so I get the Syvlion midi music with sports sound effects :D can be fixed with a ROM adapter, or just remapped as part of a multi board.

Dynamite league should be easier to convert but it does have some analog inputs.

In addition to a Syvlion PCB if anyone has a Operator Manual for Record Breaker or Dynamite League that would also be helpful as these games both use non-standard JAMMA pinouts :/ and I'd like to see how they're described in the official manual

I was looking in mame and couldn't find the game ... it's actually called "Syvalion"

Record breaker: appears to be jamma except there are no joysticks, just buttons mapped to this, which I am sure you probably already know?
P2 - Left / Button Run AX20P1 - Left / Button Run A
P2 - right / Button Run BY21P1 - Right / Button Run B
P2 - Button 1 / Button Action CZ22P1 - Button 1 / Button Action C

in MAME the game has a few buttons and no joysticks... simple

on the PCB however the buttons are mapped onto the joystick pins and supports 4 players across the JAMMA edge. what I need from the manual is understanding which player button goes to which pin on the JAMMA edge. on this MAME raises more questions than it answers.

Similarly for Dynamite League there are analog inputs mapped to the JAMMA edge... where are they mapped? MAME can't answer that :/
