Unico 30" LCD

It's way too large for standard candy cabs.

If the performance is anything like it was for the ULM26 or the panel in the Nova Blast, then it's probably a waste of time. Both input lag and pixel response time on those are slow.

If somehow high refresh was possible (it wont be), then there might be something to talk about.

As far as I'm aware these new 30" and 25" panels are much better quality (IPS?) and don't have the washed out colors and bad viewing angles from the original 26" monitor, chances are they'll have the new control board which is more responsive too. I've been told this size was made specifically for candy cabs in mind as it covers the non-display area of original tubes

I said nothing about the colors and the viewing angles of the previous monitors (although gamma was very bad if you used VGA).

You are just guessing when you make the claim that a new control board will be better. I have personally tested both the ULM26 and the "improved" higher resolution LCD later released in the Nova Blast. In the newer Nova Blast LCD the input lag was worse, at 16ms/1 frame slower across the board, on top of the awful scaling it had on 15khz.

What you have been told with those being built with candy cabs in mind is pure BS, at least if you're referencing the standard 27" viewable CRT cab like a Astro City. The 25" is too small (although the correct size for American Dynamo cabs), and the 30" is so big that you would need remove the monitor bezel entirely, and possibly cut into the body itself to fit. Arcooda made a 29" LCD, and when they showed it inside a Blast City, the bezel had to be removed. Make it an inch larger, and you cut into the speakers.

It sounds like you're making guesses on what this should be. I have dealt with these clowns for years, and between the product lies, horrible customer service, and terrible performance, I don't see how they would magically improve when they have consistently sucked for this long. If you're bored you can read through the 4 year old thread of the ULM26 and how that panned out. I put in way more time and testing than that defective product deserved. https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/unico-phoenix-monitors-opinions.19784/
