I recently got the new Nova Blast cabinet from Unico. I also have the Darksoft multi-kit for CPS2. This kit works perfectly in my Astro City cabinet. Other arcade boards work just fine in the Nova Blast cabinet. But for some reason, when I try using the CPS2 board with the Darksoft kit in the Nova Blast, I'm encountering an issue where the power shorts out after a few seconds. Unfortunately, the construction of the cabinet means that the power supply is pretty inaccessible without tearing a bunch of stuff down. I suspect the problem is an issue with power draw. I don't really have the equipment or knowledge to confirm this for myself, so I'm wondering what sort of power draw the CPS2 Darksoft kit has? And I'm also wondering if there are any known compatibility issues with certain power supplies. I know the Nova Blast is still very new so not many people have them yet, but Unico has stated that they have tested several CPS2 boards and encountered no issues. I'm not sure if they've tested the multi-kit though.

If you can measure the jamma edge connector to see what voltages you have there without any pcb inserted , this can helps you to find out something . Then , put the cps2 and measure the voltage too , to see if you run at 5V .

Something like (you need to have a multimeter set to check voltages) in the video i did (you need to adjust your psu to show 5.00 or maximum 5.10,but not more than that) :

CPS2 with multi draws about 2.9A on the 5v rail and 0.5A on the 12v while playing the hungriest games (SFA3). ~35w.

Seems strange. There are plenty hungrier boards than a CPS2 with multi.

As a side note, do you have the means to measure the screens response time? Unico is straight up ignoring any questions about the specifics on the monitor.
