@Jughead - that would possibly work if you used something like a pin header extension. You would need to make a longer JST PH >PH cable though as the included ones are just long enough to reach as 'stock'. The UFBs PCBs would sit higher inside the control panel though and I'm wanting to keep as much clearance as possible for components in the sub panel.

@notsonic - that's would work too. I imagine the pinout would be reversed but you could make another PH>PH cable with the pinout reversed on one end to suit. I'll probably never use the UFBs in anything else but having the connector on the bottom of the PCB might stop me using it in something else.

If it is an oversight I think the easiest thing would be just to replace the straight B6B-XH-A header with a right angle S6B-XH-A. The JST PH >PH cable can be used as is then.

I don't have any right angle S6B-XH-A in stock but I'll get some ordered from RS Components. I'm keen to do some other testing though so in the mean time I've added a straight B6B-XH-A to the underside of the Console IO as I have some of them to hand. TBH this could stay as is but I would rather do it properly and swap it out for a S6B-XH-A when possible.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I adjusted the position of the Brook Board inputs on the latest version to try to make more room for people using the Picofighting boards with the Mayflash Magicboots dongles. I didn't move the auxiliary harness locations and I didn't notice that it would create a conflict. I'm looking at one of the Console I/Os that I have on hand, and the overlap of the 2 connectors is very minor and it is still possible to connect both at the same time. I will move the auxiliary harness for the next revision though.

Ah you're right, you can just about fit both connectors in if you install the AUXILLARY HARNESS 1 first and then install the Brook PCB afterwards. It's more than a bit tight though and it's bending/putting load on the connectors. It's also trickier to screw the machine screws in as it's pushing the board out of alignment with the stand offs.

You could move the connector for the next revison or use a right angle S6B-XH-A which would save you modifying the PCB design. There is plenty of room to route a right angle cable in the Vewlix and in fact routing a right angle cable will be easier and neater.

I've done a bit of testing with the boards and so far they're working great! I've not tried autofire as yet but the button remapping and profile selection works a treat ^^
 
Got some S6B-XH-A in and swapped the header on all four boards for me and my friends.

seems great ....no need to spend my times to wire and unwire when want to use Nswitch for my kids !All buttons works like that ? even Start Select and Home ? when i want to use the Multi i replace just this PCB by my Fast I/O ?

Auxiliary harness is for what kind of Buttons ?
 
There are two auxiliary harnesses. AUXILLARY HARNESS 1 is at the top of the board in the picture above and is for connecting to buttons on a sub panel or similar for controlling the Home and Select/Back buttons for both P1 and P2 (see picture below). AUXILLARY HARNESS 2 is towards the bottom of the board and is used for buttons 7 & 8 (4P + 4K) for both P1 and P2. You'll only need to use the latter if your control panel has more than six buttons per player.

For start you just use the normal start buttons on your CP.

You can also use button combos for these if you don't want to use a physical button:

Another great feature is that you can map the coin microswitch signal to another input:

I'm using my [Coin Reject Credit Button Kits] in my Vewlixs and I have the coin reject button mapped to L3 which I'm then using as the coin input for MAME, works great ^^

I've been using the Console IO with PC, X360 and Nintendo Switch so far and it all works great!

The remapping function is great too. Typically on the Switch buttons A and B will be on the bottom row (buttons 4 and 5) which for some games isn't ideal and they're much better mapped to buttons 1 and 2. I've got controller profiles setup which swaps between the above configurations by holding Start and B1 + B2 + B3 or Start and B4 + B5 + B6. You can have up to six profiles with different configurations and you can also apply autofire configurations to these profiles too :D

.About Auxiliaire Annexe 1 and 2 did you know the name of the connector to let me buy two please JST 6 pins ?
 
I'm not exactly sure which connector side you need so here's all of them:

Top entry header - B6B-XH-A
Side entry header - S6B-XH-A

Wire to board housing - XHP-6

Contacts - There is a range available depending on the wire gauge you're using:

I have the V4 and writing back of the PCB seems to not be same as Notice ,what are the correct setup ,QR code link or back PCB ? I have :

What is the correct wiring please .
When I updated the board to V4 some of my component footprints were rotated and I didn't realize it. The silkscreen and the website were both incorrect. I've updated the instructions on the website with the correct pinouts, and I have also updated the PCB design so all Console I/O V4s after I sell through the current batch will have the correct pinout on the silkscreen. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
