Bought these a few years back, haven't done much with them. I've been on the lookout for another twin to complete the setup, however I haven't found any recently.
All three Hikaru units work perfectly. I would prefer to sell as a set to someone who would keep them original and perform any restoration or upkeep needed to do so, rather than gutting or converting them. Maybe you already have a twin and are looking for the rest of the setup.

The twin could use a bit of love on the paint and the seat cushions, however everything else appears functional, and all parts seem to be present aside from the center partition between the units.

Artwork is in great shape, with only a small tear/scratch on the side of one of the marquees. I also have the instructional acrylics that sit on the card readers (not pictured).

The 2P joysticks were pretty destroyed, so I removed them for parts. However I will install the two almost-new sticks pictured, prior to sale.
Some burn-in of the title screen on all CRTs.

The Terminal is in great shape, just needs a little cleaning, and has a few scuffs on the side pillars from moving down some wooden stairs which should easily buff out. a small tear in the side pillar art on one side.
I do not have the marquee or marquee holder unfortunately.
I rotated the screen non-destructively as I used it for shmups in my condo for a while. I'll rotate it back for you.
Currently has an ikaruga instructional card. The VO4 one is underneath, which I will also correct.

Terminal software version is 7.7, which is undumped.
I haven't checked the Twin, however given that these both came from KC and he got them in stock about the same time, they likely came from the same place and are probably also 7.7.
I haven't networked the three units together, however the twin will need some new optical cables. They worked when I tested them initially, however they appear to have gone bad and I didn't have any replacements on hand.

The card readers all worked when I tested them, and you can use Initial D cards. However I personally would recommend using YACardEmu, which I contributed to specifically to support VO4.

Full res pictures including imperfection closeups.

Video demos of the cabs working.
There was no power at the storage unit so I needed to use a pure sine inverter and an isolation transformer for testing.

Prefer local pickup. Located in Massachusetts, USA. I have little experience in shipping, however I can ask around for reputable outfits for these sorts of machines.

Due to the nature of shipping Hikarus, I cannot guarantee that they will work on arrival if shipped.
I am willing to remove the Hikarus from the units and pack the PCBs separately from the cages so that the GPUs are more secured should you opt for freight shipping. This will require re-assembly from you on arrival should you choose this.

Asking 9000.01 USD for both.

Splendid

Man, I was going to take these, but I'm capped at $9k, I wish I had that extra penny!

GLWS!
I'll give you a special one-time discount of 0.01 for the sass ;)

Make an offer if you're serious. The last time one of these twins sold, it was for about 5500USD plus shipping in late 2021 or early 2022 if I remember correctly, and the terminals are more rare so if you have some additional pricing data I'd be all ears. I don't imagine that the value has decreased.

also I'm mildly disappointed that nobody decided to make the "over 9000" joke I set up. :(

Believe it or not, buying this would cost me half of everything I own, via a divorce!

It's awesome, and I wish I could, but alas, I cannot!

I'd be more than willing to be player 2 if you do decide to eventually get them. ;)

As it stands I bought too many boards recently to be able to buy anything else, besides the space issue.

Hey all, sorry about my lack of presence. I've had quite a bit of life stuff happening lately. PM answered @SailorLodestar

If you would ever be parting these out I would love to grab a rom board to finally complete my Sega Hikaru game collection.
I'll let you know, however given that I really like these games, I'd like to avoid that if at all possible.

FYI to all interested, I'm almost certain that the terminal can be run as a 3rd player seat if you put a virtual-on panel in it. This also means if you locate another VO4 hikaru or convert one, then you'll have a 4 player setup more easily than finding another twin :)

I had forgotten this Virtual On Hikaru version existed. I've been wanting a VO cabinet but this one is way outta my budget, may settle for a nearby Oratario Tangram. Was this version of the game ever dumped?

Not for nothing, but if they made it from KC to you, surely they can make it back the other way. You most likely only really need to take extra care with packing/securing the Hikaru boards, but if you take a day or two to mummify everything with thick cardboard, big bubble wrap and shrinkwrap, far less likely that anything'll go down.

IMO, you got a willing buyer, I'd make it happen. This is the kind of thing for the right buyer at the right time.

Either way, GLWS!

AFAIK there is no decently playable Hikaru emulator (supposedly Demul works, but I haven't used it?) and there's no public dump of Force, but I could be wrong.

Force was ported to Xbox 360 and is region-free, you may just want to play that.
