I have a new question regarding the JAMMA connection on the CPS2 A board
Do the stereo audio jacks on the A board appear on the audio pins on the standard JAMMA connection as well ?
If not what if anything is on those pins on the CPS2 side ?
And speaking of JAMMA pins , there are more then enough empty pins to add extra buttons, why do we even need a kick harnesses ? I don't get it. I have my MVS wired so that I not only get two player button 4 but the two "select" buttons yet there are still two rows of unused pins that could account for two extra P1+P2 action buttons ? What gives ?
Is there a way to wire the kick harness pins to the JAMMA connection before it leaves the A board ? Some sort of internal hack ? I know that most long time cabinet owners already have their kick harness wired up but for MAME guys, we use an interface like he KEYWIZ or the i-Pac ... I have six action buttons that are laid out exactly like a CPS2 fighter cabinet, two rows of three action buttons along with P1 +P2 start buttons. additionally I have three extra buttons I can assign anything to, typically COIN 1 + 2 plus reset or escape
So for me, I would like a way to keep all the wires for any buttons come out of the JAMMA harness because those are already connected to the buttons I need to use even though some are empty at the moment
