Wooden Vewlix diamond black

I am making plans on making a wooden vewlix. I was thinking of doing a vewlix diamond black, but I have never seen one in real life. What color would be best for the side panels? Some pictures look grey, some black, some metallic silver? I am guessing it changes with the light. Is it more of a really dark grey shiny metallic color?

Hello guys.
I finished my Custom Vewlix Diamond Edition Cabinet.
I made it by MDF. You can see the all images of the whole process.
The whole process is about 2 months. I didn't work full time.

I design it for PC and PS3 for now. But after Niko Release the Nesica Multi system, i will put my Taito Type X2 main board in the cabinet. And i will wire the all system for jamma.
For now Im just using it with Attract mode Fronted.

Has anyone here had to paint / retouch parts of their metal body frame, especially around the monitor? I often see folks with a brown-ish, discoloration instead of the powder coat finish, and am wondering what you used to get it looking new again?

What about the rest of the body? Did you touch up any nicks and scrapes? What type / color of paint do you recommend? Don't want to shell out the big bucks to try getting it powder coated.
