Aquired a CPS2 MVC1 Asia set in pretty good condition, until I popped it open when the P1 joy inputs were freezing up and noticed an entire IC had been hastily removed from the board. Clones seem near impossible to find. Wondering if anyone had a dead/dying A board with a good one of these available? Super thanks. :D

To me it's just a resistor array with filtering caps. Can't one just rebuild one using standard parts? Might look ugly but who cares, it's inside the case.

i'm not that clever. Yet.

But if that's -a- solution i'm all ears.

Like said, it's a simple custom resistor array with capacitors, I've reproduced a lot of similar one.I have some CPS2 A-board but I can't see it, there are only 'CR084' and 'R089' resistor arrays which I aready reproduced. This post reminds me of another where a guy was in search of this component but on a CPS3 motherboard :

Mobo missing components.

Please, post a picture of your board with missing part highlighted.

OK, thanks. As expected the 'CRE438' is the same of 'CR084' because my CPS2 A-BOARD carries the latter at same location of yours :

I have reproduced the 'CR084' time ago, let me know if you need one.
