I am selling a 20 GB full retro compatible PS3 bought in Tokyo at Christmas 2006 "MADE IN JAPAN". Staying in his box since 14 years. I took it out again a few months ago to change the thermal paste and install the cobra rebug custom firmware. It served 20 hours maximum, and it is in exceptional condition, like new except for a few micro scratches. As
a reminder, the PS3 with 4 USB ports (20 gb, 60 gb and 80 gb model) are
the only ones backwards compatible with PS2 games, and only the
Japanese consoles have the two chips (Emotion Engine processor and GPU
Graphic Synthetizer) of the PS2 for a perfect backwards compatibility (this is not emulation).
Finally, it is a model made in Japan (much stronger and quieter than the made in China). With the new thermal paste and if you take care of it, it will last 30 years.
