X68000 Sharp Monitor - Need Help

Nonive never seen that p before. Theres a japanese manual for it.. you can use google apps to translate them?

I think it means the monitor detected that the signal from the NES is progressive (240p).

If you have the X68000 too, the computer can control the monitor if you connect the remote plug (TV Control cable) on the back of both... Just press certain key combinations on the X68000 keyboard to send commands to the monitor.

I don't have the cable. I guess I have to make it.
I was able to get my JP-1 remote to control my x68K monitor. Thanks to Rob at JP-1 forum. If anyone needs the info, here's the thread discussion.

You don't have to build it. It's a generic male to male din cable.
