Just a thought for another piece of information.. The alternative menu is optional and the vortex menu works the same. After building the menu it is highly recommended to test in Mame prior to continuing to the next steps. Thank You.

@ManCloud has a version of the compiler, that takes the alternative menu with all its roms as input and creates the correct output. Hold on until this is released. You can then just use the files created in the menu build-process from the folder "copy_to_vortex_repo".

I can't relate to this. My pov is: I was researching for a way to relead the menu and modified the unibios. Raz explained why it didn't work and I'm fine with that. Alternative methods are already looked at. End of story.

I'd suggest to use a non-modded cart for that. The goal of this project was to have 100% clean roms. Also there is simply not enough space left to re-add all these hacks.

I added a patch on gitHub for UB40 to get back to the menu when you perform a softReset in unibios. Tested working by @leonk. Should also still work with any other cart.
