Would you love assemble your new NeoGeo AES motherboard ?

I think some of those chips have modern replacements: https://www.tindie.com/stores/furrtek/

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

Thanks @Darksoft. @GarouSP I think you will get more information about creating a dedicated CPS2 board for FFAE in the source itself: https://www.patreon.com/posts/final-fight-ae-71318165 Best of luck!

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

Hi DS, thanks for the information, however @GarouSP has the opposite issue: we do know how the rom for the multi is assembled (we already have it working), however he wants to create a dedicated board for FFAE, but we do not know how the roms should be burned to do that. Any pointers would be...

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

I got your problem, however since I use FFight AE with DS multi, I have not faced your specific problem. I'd suggest this: check this thread: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/got-my-first-cps2-boards.9749/ and notice the pictures of the boards posted and the names of the roms contained on...

Have you tried using any of the other ro sets created?

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

IIRC, after the processing of SSF3 and FF roms is complete, a directory named "results" is created, and inside it are three directories: one for DS CPS2 multi, one for Mister and one for MAME (MAME HB, actually). Which one is this you are showing?

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

Which files did you get after doing all the process? List them along with their exact sizes (in bytes).

    ML2020 battery replacement with a CR2032

Because I do not use the atomiswave very frequently, since I only have a single game for it, and if left for a long time, the ML2020 seem to lose charge and the settings get erased, that does not happen with the CR2032 in my experience.

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

The key file should be no problem at all, since AFAIK the game is not encrypted, that file should only contain 20 bytes of 1's.

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

Glad you got it working. Can you please drop a line here explaining what was happening? that might help someone else in the future. Now enjoy the game, it's a really fine conversion with very nice features added.

It seems you are doing something wrong, since that file does exist. It's right there in the root directory, check https://github.com/originalgrego/FinalFightAE-CPS2-Installer. Did you properly download and uncompressed the whole Git repo? Are you trying to make it run on Darksoft CPS2 multi? or...

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

If you followed the official guide to generate the roms, then at the end you will have a "results" directory with the correct roms for DS multi, HBMAME and mister.

    Home Arcade System

The rolling screen issue on NBA happens because those boards use a non-standard sync signal. Same thng happens with Mortal Kombat 2 and 3 boards. I used a Gonbes 8200 with those for some time, until I found a PVM at a decent price.

    ML2020 battery replacement with a CR2032

As you probably know, the Atomiswave motherboard includes an ML2020 3V rechargeable battery inside to keep the date, time, settings, scores, etc. I was interested in replacing that battery with a non-rechargeable one, like a CR2032, however I could not find information about how to disable the...

Mortal Kombat 3 dim picture output

I see. I used to use a Gonbes 8200 many years ago to connect an MK2 board (now I use a PVM) and it worked decently, but I remember having to fiddle with the settings to make it work. I can't remember how I managed the RGB output of the board, because IIRC the Gonbes only receives VGA is input...

Mortal Kombat 3 dim picture output

How are you connecting the boards to the LCD monitors? IIRC the MK and MK2 boards use a non-standard sync signal, which causes issues on displays that are not designed for arcade games.

Final Fight 30th Anniversary 3 Player for CPS2

Hi, I finally solved my problem. It seems there was some issue with the IPS patching that the Java application did not catch (I followed the guide from https://github.com/originalgrego/FinalFightAE-CPS2-Installer), so the roms were created corrupted. I repeated the procedure on a different...

Would you love assemble your new NeoGeo AES motherboard ?

I had no idea about this, really interesting. I also found this: https://www.tindie.com/stores/furrtek/ which seem to be reproductions of the custom chips made (AFAIK) by furrtek with off-the shelf components. That might allow me to fix an MV2F I have wth some issues with the NEO-257 and...
