What's new
@Darksoft no drama, its just some people posting various nonsense and trying to look like some kind of specialist, while have no any idea about things they talking about. I've already seen bazillion messages from this person like "oh! its Namco C78 MCU!", and don't think we need more of these ;)

these are just JVS I/O boards, which works as per JVS standard/docs, no mystery, just required some I/O with "screen input" feature, like Namco JYU or Sega Type-2.

Ninja Assault is not special, it does not do anything which is not in the JVS specs, here is a quick google translate:

X for the data input length of an input device that specifies the position on the screen, such as a touch panel or a ray gun.
Axis, horizontal is Y-axis, lower left is origin (0, 0), 16-bit data, maximum value Is set to FFFF and the corrected data is passed.
Channel sets XY as one set (starting from index 1)

If not I wonder if @winteriscoming 's MegaJVS could be programmed to spoof the proper JVS IO and remap the controls
Perhaps with a firmware upgrade. Current firmware supports spoofing the board name (if that's even required here), but there's no support for screen input commands as is, and those would have to be translated from analog inputs, which would be possible, but not currently implemented. I'm unsure how analog initialization/calibration would work, or if it would be required. I don't have a good setup to test this game, or any analog controls outside of a driving cab.

On a lighter note - I can confirm that Ninja Assult runs fine with the multi bios.
are you sure ?this is how this game works on Naomi2 with multi-bios https://mega.nz/file/RQ10BCBB#NyGIOOs1vf_m18tasOGqlKMv2QaGQ1c7gPKv_csS5Ds
which is not "fine"
It doesn't work. I just tried it using an original cartridge and netbooting on Naomi2 w/ multibios, and i also get the same graphical glitches.

I have the Naomi1 w/ 21576D bios that i use to play Ninja Assault cartridge, but i can't netboot because of the older bios.

I am 100% sure it works as I've just done it.

Just watched you're video, mine doesn't look like that - it looks the same as it did when I ran the real cart in the system - no graphics issues at all.

It would seem as though there is some issue with the Naomi 2 and the multi region bios but it works fine for me with a Naomi 1 and multi region bios.

The only thing I could think is im mistaken about my bios - I can swap the region using the dip switches, so i'm assuming this is the multi bios right?

Puyo Pop Fever game (world/english version of japanese Puyo Puyo Fever): mega.nz/#!EM1U1CZK!PqlDvF0Zq2Q…vIfFtv8NTAfe-ZeymM17MFjAY
I'm having problems with the Puyo Pop Fever, I send it to the netdimm apparently it seems to load but in the end I only get a black screen, any ideas?

I tried out this file for the English version of Puyo Puyo Fever and am getting a black screen also. Any ideas?

My Set-up:
Naomi2
Multi-Bios set to USA
Capcom I/O
NetDimm 4.02 [512MB]
RaspberryPi PiforceTools

18 Wheeler I'm positive of as that's something I've personally verified with an OG cab. It freezes during the attract demo after some time.

@hrvat9 I think tried Initial D3. I want to say it freezes after game over in multiplayer?
Just want to confirm testing on both Initial D2 and Initial D3 that it freezes specifically during player replay after Game Over

He's replying to my post where I list which games have issues with the multibios. I think he knows.

Hi guys,

Does anyone have a working rom of Idol Janshi 3? I tried to compile a .bin with the romset of Mame but I've got a error message "bad IO board ". I've read this problem was also with Demul, maybe someone has the solution.

Thanks ;)

@wasspat this game protected and there is no cracks public available

however, it should boot at least, so your JVS I/O board probably doesn't supported by this game.
PS: also required mahjong mux-panel

Yes, i love mahjong games :)

My i/o board is a capcom converter clone, the problem is maybe from this kind of i/o board. With the other mahjong games I've not error message and evrything is good (Usagi - Yamashiro Mahjong Hen)

I'll submit my compiled rom later, if someone can try it on other i/o board (or directly with JVS I/O), I guess we could know if my .bin is good or not.

Most likely this is the prolem.

Mahjong panels typically require Output pins in order to mux the buttons, neither Capcom IO nor clones have Output pins.

good ? it is impossible. as was said above - JVS IO with enough GP output lines required to play any of NAOMI mahjong games, and also special control panel.

e.g. you can not play any of NAOMI mahjongs using Capcom IO

when I said "good" that because the game boot without error message, for now I'm waiting my mahjong panel and I planned to set an adaptator mahjong panel to jamma (I've done it before with Taisen Hot Gimmick to my NAC). I guess it's possible to do the same adaptator with naomi game : https://psikyobabble.com/index.php/2016/01/07/naomi-type-x-mahjong-pinout/
But remains the problem than capcom I/O may occure an error with that kind of adaptator, on the picture from psikyobabble its a common sega i/o :
