This thread will no longer be updated. I've consolidated all of my add-on boards into a single thread at:

All are available for purchase at https://www.tindie.com/stores/everten

ST-V IO Board (stereo audio + CPS1 and CPS2 kick harness connectors)

EVERTEN ST-V Boards add stereo RCA connectors and CPS1 & CPS2 kick harness connectors to the Sega ST-V. See photos for details.

IMPORTANT! There are 2 STV layouts that I'm aware of. You must tell me if you have the A or B layout pictured below so I can ship the correct IO board.
Mounts without hardware using sockets on the CN25 and CN21 headers.

ST-V Stereo Audio (stereo audio only)
Mounts under the PCB using 2 existing screw holes, requires the ST-V to have PCB feet installed.

Original Post

I wanted to learn how to design a PCB so I took this on as a really simple project to get my feet wet. I wanted a more elegant/permanent solution for stereo audio via RCA on the ST-V without worrying about a spare adapter cable. I know this is not really necessary and probably pointless to most of you, but I thought I'd share.

It uses the screw holes on the heat sink to mount under the main board, so it requires your ST-V to have PCB feet.

That's a great idea!

Pretty slick looking first PCB, much better than mine!

Would love something like this for the Neo Geo 1 slot. I have the wires connected to the chip and dangling. Haven't gotton around to soldering on the RCA jacks because there is no where for me to mount them on lions3 plexi case.

Which one slot?

I am sold how much if you don't mind selling an extra set?

Also how much for one of these stereo mods? I am modding my stv next actually.

If you can offer an economical way of shipping I'd like to take a bare PCB. I can grab the parts myself as with the wiring harness. Flat unpopulated PCB could probably be sent in an envelope with a couple of stamps, shouldn't cost much.

Sure. I'll PM you this weekend.

That looks really nice, and it's brilliant to use the the mounting holes that are already there. Well done. Will you release the PCB design when it's ready?

ooooh I wouldn't placing 1 order for this on my ST-V. Would love to play Groove on in Stereo~

Helluva lot better than my jumper-wired to panel mount RCA solution LOL. I'd be down for a board too! Especially if it means supporting new creators here.

It is simple but also really cool. I haven't gotten around to making a stereo cable for my ST-V. So I am interested in buying one depending on price.

If you’re sending one @Frank_fjs way, count me in as well.

Wow. This is rewarding to see all the positive comments. Thanks!

For those who inquired about purchasing one; I'm leaning towards somewhere around $13-$15. That would be for an assembled board with wire harness, mounting posts, and screws. Shipping should be really inexpensive for something like this. Is that a fair price? Let me know your thoughts.
