Thanks for taking one for the team and buying a couple of these. I was close to having my China procurement friends get some for me.Also does your custom main rom board C flex when you seat them @ekorz ? It looks like a design flaw it arches ever so slightly and that in no way can be good for the SMD.
Also the Q Sound board is not stock - that is it is modified with a few legs pulled up and a few roms removed with modified custom flash chips possibly because the Q-Sound board need to change the music every time a game is changed. So I doubt you can just change the multi C ROM board for a stock C rom board.
Runs stock A board without the audio section stripped out.
I will add photos in a couple of days.
Yes the other board had a wire to the C board loose, I soldered it myself - it was still working before I soldered it though so not sure what the wire did.Not the best soldering work if I may say...
I’ve been out of town but I’ll take some photos soon. I do recall my C didn’t seat perfectly either, but it works at least. Also does your custom main rom board C flex when you seat them @ekorz ? It looks like a design flaw it arches ever so slightly and that in no way can be good for the SMD.

Are you running this in a cab? On my NAC there is also a volume knob on the PSU for adjustment.Cool I’ll have to check the rca out. On the jamma edge I haven’t figured out how to raise the volume at all. It’s my first cps1.5 setup so certainly could just be user error
I dont use a cabinate but route the audio to my Mackie CR5BT monitors using the RCA. I do recall having to crank up the volume on the speakers. I shall recheck if the Q Sound pot affects the sound output on lydz's board tomorrow and let you know.Considering the A audio section is stripped out, I wonder if my volume issues are related to my -5v instead. I have a negatron on my blast. Maybe it’s not enough? @suverman Does your B board sound pot adjust volume still?
careful with that thing...Ok I whipped it out for @ekorz![]()
I and my mate have 4 between us (3 working) can confirm non of our volume pots are working. Infact the RCA audio output seems to be absent if connected to a Yamaha HS8 or my Mackie CR5BT. My system configuration audio is set to Q sound. The amp on the Q sound board doesn't even seem to get warm - is it even working? @'lydz can you help? But no matter what menu setting, mono or stereo, rca or jamma edge, I get no volume adjustment. Neither the q sound pot nor the A board pot do anything. The Q sound one will fuzz a little bit as I rotate it. I took a close up of that specifically since a few components look removed. I’ll look over your photos too @suverman, just ran out of time tonight. Maybe it’s just the pot. Maybe it’s something else. It’s at least an OK level of sound that it is stuck at!
