Well, I was unable to reproduce the glitch with my authentic Pulstar cart, but I was able to reproduce a similar glitch with my crappy Chinese 120 in 1 Multicart. That must be where I was remembering seeing glitches-those carts are notoriously glitchy.

Pulstar does try to read your memory card for a saved game just before the Stage Select screen appears if that’s a clue towards what could be causing the problem.

I may be misremembering, but I think Pulstar's random background tile glitch on the Stage Select screen happens with the original cart. I can double-check it later with my original MVS cart to be sure.
tried my OG cart and i do get random lines both on title into and level.
Mine tend to stay up in top left.

I also get random lines with my OG cart. It must be related to the way the code is written that interrupts take too long.

This is the FINAL issue I'm having -- Getting sound farts, particularly noticable on KOF games, but across all slots/games from time-to-time. It's almost like it's spitting out hot audio or can't handle certain freqencies.
Are you sure you didn't load the King Of Farts rom by mistake?

=O

That is something else, I see on your 2nd picture gfx glitches on the lower left part. Is only happening with that game?

I'm also having trouble with the following games: Twinkle Star Farts, Metal Fart X, 3 Fart Bout, Art of Farting, Blazing Fart, Fatal Fart, Ghost Fart, Karnov's Fart, Cyber-Fart, The Last Fart, Nightmare in the Fart, Fart Hunter and Neo Fart Masters.

HELP.

LOOL.

Now seriously does it happen both in cabinet and Supergun? Have you tried different motherboards?

Happens in both the Supergun and the Cabs. I've changed the cart slot of this 'F' motherboard to a different one, and I've replaced the stock BIOS with Unibios, cleared settings and am testing again.

Failing all that, I'll buy another SD card and try once more. Then I will test with a different motherboard.

Then I will report back. Hopefully the farts will have disappeared.

Not gonna lie, I'd play at least half of those :P

Especially Nightmare in the Fart and Art of Farting 8o

Changed SD cards and actually deleted the whole thing and started from scratch with a fresh download of teh roll up pack. I haven't got the "no game found" error thus far after testing for some time which is good. The minor glitches in Pulstar above, I'm not too concerned about.
Which card did you use, exact model please ? :D

Did you use any special cluster sizes when formatting ?

Sandisk Ultra 16GB. Actually, the exact same as the one I already had. But it seems to have sorted out the "no games found" error as I haven't seen it since and used it quite a bit. I'm always formatting to 64K clusters on a mac using this terminal command:

sudo newfs_msdos -F 32 -c 128 /dev/disk

@Darksoft, Changing the cart slot, and also using Unibios did absolutely nothing. However changing over to my 1FZ motherboard with the messed up colours worked -- I don't have the sound issues anymore (even though the colours are screwy). I did have a game flashing error once (froze on black screen), but the sound definitely isn't spiking like the other motherboard.

At this point, I'm guessing the motherboard is faulty and will probably just need a recap or something. Been nice diagnosing with you all up until this point, but I won't go further until I eliminate the cause, thanks so much everyone for the help.

I'll bring another motherboard up or if you want to come down and get one we can test it on a few :P

That would be cool. I swear that the Neo Geo gods do not want me to play their system thus far. The motherboard you threw my way is in super nice condition.

I know you have a nice cache of motherboards at yours, so I'll roll down one weekend and test it on your stash. Thanks again mate :)

Thanks, same card as mine, might be interesting to run a speed test on sectors.

I actually did the same as you with exactly the same card and it worked for a while ...

HELP.
Did you see any smoke or notice any strange odors coming from the cart?

Try loading the test rom "If-you-smelt-it-you-delt-it.rom" and see if that helps...

Also, this may just be a symptom of "The Darksoft MultiMVS Is The Shit!" syndrome.

:D

The pictures are from my crappy 120 in 1 Chinese Multicart. Nothing you should stress over for the DS cart. :D

Hey guys

So, I was trying to update the cart to latest versions but have not been able to. My setup is: MV1C board, connected to a HAS supergun, using unibios 4.0. Currently, my cart does nothing, goes straight to crosshatch. I have already formatted microsd, downloaded and uncompressed smokemonster's rom pack, nothing works. Only thing cart seems to do is that if I put the flash.img and TOP files in an /update directory on the microsd, it will delete the flash.img file (TOP remains untouched). Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks.
