FS Egret 2/Windy 2/NNC/Q25 (Repair refund)

For Sale
Finally got around to sending Sharp Image Repair my Toshiba PB7534 chassis today from the Windy 2.

Here's hoping it's not a bad flyback and is fixable! Fingers crossed. :/

Will let you guys know what I hear back in a couple weeks after they've had a chance to look at it.

Got these in today and they look amazing 8o

I'm curious if the flybacks can't be repaired if they have cracks in them with epoxy putty.
Honestly just depends what's wrong with it. if its external crack on enclosure, yes can be repair. I've repair a few that way before. If they finding dead shorts on winding or ringing them out and finding even a few dead turns, etc then no good solution for that. Ususally if external crack you will have external arc though so will be fairly obvious. ie you turn on Mon and see spark coming off HV unit.

8o that may mean my come in soon too  . Probably won't install mine right away though, still want to do better tear down and clean when it's nicer out

Yup, Im doing a full restore so its gonna take me a while. This is my busy time handling new construction and renovation projects.

I think he may still have a few more of those illumination panels if anyone missed out

Well-packed, affordable AND fast shipping! Just got mine in today, delivering another to the bay tomorrow. Hopefully the technique used for the art will help us finish up the rest of the NOS panels over here too!

since we all have fancy new illumination panels, has anyone replaced their lamp with an led bar yet? Got a good one that fits well?

300wins tells me the plastic is melted into place to secure it. You can either damage the mounts to keep the panel in tact as you remove it. Or shave down the back of the panel to remove it. Pick your poison-type deal.

I guess these are the bad PSUs to use for the Egret 2s?

They are NOS, wondering if I should recap them first.

I would still get these recapped (even if they are NOS).

Had a NOS E2 PSU go nuts and fry a PCB. The cost of a recap really is a drop in the ocean when you consider all the other expensive crap this thing is driving.
