Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.
Today I want to tell everyone that I’m going to be making reproduction Namco PlayStation 2 controller adapters for the Namco system 256. I got all the parts ready and I have made a prototype cable to test out. It works really well.
I’m hoping some of you would be interested in a pair. I’ll update everyone on this project

I’m pretty sure all 256 fighters support the PlayStation controllers, not sure about the Gundam games.

I want to make this available for everyone to have as playing 256 fighting games with a controller is awesome and the real official Namco ps2 ports are expensive and rare.

They are simply piggybacked on the joystick so all games that support joysticks and buttons!

Yes, both player 1 and 2 are connected on the same connector, I’m going to make the cables longer and detachable from the player 2 end, just in case some of you would like to install them into your arcade cabinet

that sounds great would like to run them out of the coin door panel on the noir and the card reader unit on the lindbergh. would it be possible to get both player 1 and player 2 detachable. if haveing tournaments with friends everyone would likely want to use their own controllers.

yeah ... what the hell where they thinking when they made this thing ! "oh well .. we're out of connectors!"

Sadly, from what I have seen, these cables only came from the tekken 5 dedicated cabinet with the card readers, none of the kits or other deluxe cabinet seem to have it, that’s why the cable is so hard to fine separately. I have actually got a real one I’ll take pictures of, and I want to replicate it as close as possible.
