What's new
Super nice project. Sending message. Great work.

Thanks friend, our team is really passionate with this project.

I just answered everyone on PM and sorry about the delay, i don't look at forum for hours sometimes.
On Discord you can ping me faster and have a real time chat.

Today I received my to units ^^ They work beautifully!

I use them with a SEGA Genesis® 8-Button Arcade Pad - 2.4 GHz Wireless which I build into one of my Neo Geo fight sticks:

This project isn't 100% finished yet, but it works really nice! I personally does not feel any input lag, but I'm no professional... I'm a casual gamer :D

I also have some constructive critic, nothing big! You can ignore it if you like! The LED sticks out a bit too much. I was thinking about creating a 3D printed case for it, so I have to move it a bit back. I'll do this by myself, so no problem at all!!!

Thank you very much @Raph_friend it is a really cool project

Hey friend, thanks for your report!
Yes i let the led a bit longer thinking about the future case that is coming, so you can adjust it easily.

I'm glad that you liked!

Sounds perfect!

Yes I really like it!! You did a very very good job :) I combination with my wireless fight stick I have now a clean setup without any cables laying around, I like it

I hope there is someone who is faster in designs this case! I'm currently totally lazy :whistling:

Work in progress 😎🤙🏿

Hello, I'm trying to build the USB2DB15 using Arduino Pro Mini, but I'm stuck after programming the Arduino, before wiring everything I would like to test if the Arduino and the USB shield can recognize the USB controller, but the serial monitor in Arduino IDE is not showing anything.

These are the steps I have done so far:

1-Connect the Arduino with the FTDI programmer

2- Compilation of the USB2DB15 program: Ok

3-Upload to Arduino: Ok

4-Solder USB host shield to Arduino

After this step I have connected some USB controls (MadCatz Street Fighter IV Pad for X360, Hori Fightstick mini for PS3 and 8bitdo usb receiver) to the USB Shield while the Arduino is still connected to the FTDI programmer (and this to the PC via mini USB), I have opened the serial monitor but it does not register anything when I press the buttons.

Is this the proper way to test or am I doing it wrong?

FYI, it looks like all of your links on the Opening Page are missing now. I was going to jump to your GitHub, but there is not a link anymore.

Hi !!

are the gerber files available? I would like send to pcbway the Custom Pcb but it don't accept eagle format in the upload section and I never used Eagle, I am 100% dummy about Eagle..

Thanks in advance for this project.

Hi, how are you?

The PCB are on raw format, so you can extract the gerbers in any way you wish.

Sorry for the question: Do I need install Eagle and export to Gerber format from it or when you say "extract" is because there is another way to do that?

Thanks

I use Eagle on this project.
If you find another way that you think is easier, just share with us.

I have just downloaded Eagle and I have extract the gerber files following a tutorial from Pcbway...I hope the order going well. thank you

This is the USB2DB15 3rd batch, that is 4 times bigger than the last one and took me some time to finish, but thanks God everything is good now and ready for shipment. The packages part are the worst for me, but let's do it! Thanks everyone of the support!

The pre-order for 4th batch is already open, if you need, just DM me here, Discord, or twitter.

Hello again guys, I have some questions about the schematics.

I see that the VCC input for Arduino is 3.3v, why can't use 5VREG line? Is because the USB Host Mini only works with 3.3v?

Do I have to do something special to make work my Arduino with 3.3v before program it? I have a couple of Arduino PRO MINI but I have used them allways with 5v.

And the last question to confirm: The source voltage for the entire circuit cames out from the DB15 Neo Geo port (PIN 8 - 5vSG)? right?

Thank you
