What's new
For the JAMMA extension cables I'm seeing these descriptions:

JAMMA extension - Taiwan FUTURE (medium bite)

JAMMA extension - Japan HRS (medium bite)

What would be the difference between these two cables? The pictures show the same cable. Additionally for the autofire settings is it possible to change how fast it fires?

check out my thread with this info. Mainly how much force the connector puts on the Jamma Edge. https://www.arcade-projects.com/thr...ce-between-taiwan-future-and-japan-hrs.17780/

Kinda curious about this thing primarily because it seems like it a one-size fits all solution... or as much as there is one with arcade games. I'm curious what the Taito F3 support is like, though. Those games work on the HAS if you're using the VGA out to an OSSC... is there a similar sort of solution with the Axun box for fussy stuff like the F3?

My F3 works on my CBOX, just not with the Axun Jamma Extractor capture card

Hey everyone, I took about 2 weeks off between the end of Summer semester and Fall semester but I am back and here to help.
I received a lot of messages about orders on CBOX and other items

JVS/JAMMA CBOX and other items will resume sales at the end of Sept.
Sorry for the delay.

Resume sales? I hope you also mean fulfilling orders, because I haven't had so much as a tracking number sent for my order from May 29th. We're approaching Kickstarter wait times here.

I still trust Axun more than Kickstarter as people have actually gotten their stuff, so I can't help but wonder if my order got looked over. I don't think I ordered my power supply too long after hyp36max, who can't stop singing the guy's praises, but he got his power supply relatively quickly... :|

Awesome - sounds like I'm in for one. Gonna be nice to finally have a convenient way to hook up JVS boards.

I think I got lucky that first time making the cut. My original order took about a month from order to delivery. I made two additional orders shortly after, one being a JJCBOX and another PSU a month or so after. Still waiting on those two later orders.

Component shortage is very real now. I also noticed Axun's popularity has increased a TON during this summer, with one guy building these components, it's an operational problem on scalability. I don't expect Axun to bring people to assist his production line on board immediately and possibly lose the quality he's known for. I'm sure @Axun and @drfunk2k want nothing more than to take care of us. Hang on brother, you're not alone. It will be well worth the wait. TRUST!

This is the truest true thing. It a major pain getting components at the moment
If you insist on genuine components with proper traceabiltiy and batch numbers and country of origin then it goes from being a major pain to an absolute sh*tshow.

I wanted to build some minigun Supergun 8-pin boards. No joke it took 10+ hours just to get the BOM nailed down and the suppliers lined up. And during those 10 hours some of the components went out of stock, or my order got bumped for a bigger batch, or I had to order an entire reel when I only wanted 10.
Mouser are showing backorders out to October 2022 and beyond. Digikey are supplying old-batch Meanwell power supplies instead of the current model (I'll write about that some other time). RS and E14 have basically given up on a lot of stuff stuff. Its a shambles out there.

Honestly - making ANYTHING at the moment is pretty much impossible, regardless of the money/time/energy you've got. Axun has all of my sympathy

Massive co-sign @hatmoose — The choices for the simplest things like capacitors is massively dwindling down to the crappy or high priced ones on Digikey. I have stuff from JST ordered with a 9 month lead time.

We’re going to be scrapping and salvaging from old boards for current projects sooner or later if this keeps up ;)

Much respect to @Axun for pushing through and putting orders on hold and sorting it out. It wouldn’t be easy given the amount of components in his stuff…

If it were just CBOXs having problems, understandable to be concerned, but we’re dealing with global shortages across the board. Every single thing. Shampoo, shoes, lumber, school supplies, it’s not just component shortages. Hell Taco Bell was running out of food at one point. Be prepared to wait or go without on almost anything for the next 6-12 months.

Yes shortages are still killing us. thats why we stopped incoming orders, cause we just dont know. also we are trying to hold prices but the market is bad right now.

Would it be possible to order the Jamma harness with the NDK/TAT Noguchi (light bite) connector too? I would like to order one with the Hirose connector and another with the NDK/TAT one.
Thanks,
\o/.k.

Oh man, you wrote this yesterday, and today GM announce they are basically stopping production.

This thing is getting really real, really quick. They halted new vehicle imports to my country a while back (waiting list for 2021 models stretching out to 2022). My 2004 Honda is still going strong, but for how long?

Just talked to Axun orders for the CBOX will resume late OCT due to supply chain issues.
Sorry for the wait and thanks for the patience.
Sounds good, gives me time to save up. Just hope the price stays at 280USD, but I'd imagine the component shortages is only getting worse.
