What's new
Hi,

I’m #515 on the queue list, I can’t be on the first batch anyway. I have pre ordered at Save Your Games (order #3350).

I’ll wait the necessary time :)

Cheers,

I would like to clarify as some people are asking about the differences between the FPGA version of Qsound and the original Qsound. Logically the amount of original Q sound chips that I could get was limited to what I could find from distributors, but there is no more stock now. The version of the FPGA is working exactly 100% the same and the reason for that is because the FPGA has implemented a core of the DSP16 chip and has a external ram that allocates the code that we want to run. Have you seen that concept before? Of Course! Because the code that the FPGA runs has been created by Jotego himself! and can run any DSP16 code. People will need to load the code themselves for obvious reasons, but this is only done once.
If you see more chips in the FPGA version, it's because it's newer technology, some level shifters needed to be added for the 3V <-> 5V transition and also the FPGA needs a bitstream and a code to run (both located externally).
the core from Jotego works perfectly and after weeks of fine tuning we were able to confirm the 100% identical behaviour and output.

I hope this clarifies things.

For what I have seen, some people will still receive one with the DSP16 chip. Are these sold following the preorder list?
Thanks,

Woo-Hoo!!!!! The wait is finally over! Order placed with HSS. No place to specify who I am, so for reference:

Jdurg
#62 on Interest List
Order #41136

Thank you so much Darksoft and all for making this come true!

Let me clarify something else as we keep getting questions about this.
The kits will be assigned and sent randomly. Distributors will not know what chip is inside if Qsound or FPGA, but as I already explained, people, the FPGA is 100% the same and the core has been done by Master Jotego in person!
About the preorders, we will wait for those 2 weeks and give preference to the people that have a number in the interest check, lower than 250 (thanks @Derick2k for keeping up the list). However everyone that wants can order one. If he won't fit into the 1st batch, he will have guaranteed a spot on the second if he books soon, so if you are hesitating, I recommend that you order yours.
