What's new
Small update on production. If everything goes well, I will ship all the units to the distributors in the first week of March, so they should be sending them to you on the 2nd week of March.

I'll keep you all updated on the latest.

Thanks!

How are you all planning on dealing with audio output on your setups using this multi?

I switch between mono and stereo boards all the time so all my cabs are set up with amps with a switch to toggle inputs between the two. I'll just plug in the CPS1 Multi to the RCA leads and toggle the amp stereo and mono switch appropriately for the game I'm playing.

This is a brilliant idea.

Can I bother you for a rough wiring diagram?

I'll be doing the same thing. I have a Q-Sound amp in my Dynamo HS-5 which has RCA Inputs. I take the mono JAMMA signal through a Line-Output-Conditioner and then feed the dual-mono output through a volume knob and then into the receiver. For Stereo inputs on the CPS2/CPS3 boards, I directly connect them to the Q-Sound Amp.

With the CPS1 multi coming in, I plan to have the Stereo Signal and Dual Mono Signal go through a DPDT switch and just flip the switch to determine which signal goes into the Q-Sound Amp. The JAMMA Dual Mono or the Stereo from the CPS1/2/3 multi.

I picked up a JAMMA Switcher from Riddled TV that I have my three multis going into. I also picked up the kick-harness condenser and an RCA Stereo add-on board for the switcher. I just need to now route cables inside my cabinet.

Here is my top-quality wiring diagram:

Here are the specific components I use - naturally there's plenty of alternatives.

Stereo amplified level to line level converter:

Amplifier:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003NVN1PY

The amplifier is both powerful and compact - it fits nicely on top of the coin box on an upright cab (I use velcro to secure it) or off to the side in a candy cab.

And here's how the wiring looks with the line-level converter from the back of the amp inside my upright Dynamo cab.

Later on, I squeezed in a subwoofer too.

Thanks so much for this!

I have my new project to tackle 😉

I know there are solutions for the crystal question being worked on, but I whipped this up real quick to do my own testing.
Still need to work on the layout/install, just wanted to get a working circuit put together.

I still think a DFO is the way, but this was simple to put together/test with.

It will go into Gen 2 Big Blue cabinet that already has a Q-Sound amp. I have a Hyper Fighting marquee in the dimensions of a Big Blue swooped up from Szabo's arcade and an OG Punisher Big Blue Marquee. Boring I know, but should be set to go!

Here is the latest update on the production. 5 units were sent to testers from all around the world, experts in CPS1 so they could do a final thorough testing. We identified some issues related to the sound amplifier Class D that we were using. It happens only to some people depending on the setup that they have. For that reason, I'm going to change the amplifier to a AB class which is exactly what the original QSound had. They draw more current but they generate zero noise. That means that I have to modify the design, produce 2 more PCBs so that we can confirm that the problem is gone and then I can hit the button for the mass production. I'm not going to release something that isnt of the highest quality and standards and that makes your experience 100%. From the logistics point of view this means about 4-5 weeks delay to make what was exceptional, even better. Mitsurugi will be releasing the videos very soon that I'm sure will drop your jaws.

Thanks!

AB Class is better than D. we're not running on batteries here so who cares how much juice it's chugging so long as it's clean ;)
Agree! Too much to deal with to get a really good sound out of a class D amp. Usually its noise in the feedback loop that kills most amp designs using class D amps.

@Darksoft what class AB amp did you go with?

I'm 100% willing to wait for this and whatever improvements you need to make! BUT....

I thought the distributors already had this bad boy? I thought some were in the wild on eBay... are you having to recall the first batch?

Distributor don't have any boards yet

Nobody can sell it on ebay for now, they can only sell a Preorder
