What system did you try the IO board with. From what I read on Twitter, there’s many users that use the UFB and this device with no issues and negligible lag.

I highly suggest upgrading the firmware.

@djsheep can you link any info related to steering wheel support? I saw your mention of it earlier but not sure where to look for additional details.

Still waiting on mine to clear customs and finally arrive. Very much looking forward to trying it out for myself.

Could someone try it with another Brook product, and tell us if it works or not please ?
(Brook UF Board. Or like me: Brook XB Fighting Board)
So far I cannot get anything to happen with mine on the Brook XB Fighting Board. I'm a little unclear on how the key mapping system is supposed to work, so I can't tell if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's not seeing it at all. When I use an Xbox 360 controller it works as expected.

Device has been tested as compatible with SEGA Naomi, Taito Type X, X², Namco System 2x6, exA-Arcadia and more!

Gamepads supported include Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4 and PC as well as some PS3 and Switch controllers with more support on the way via free user-upgradable firmware (you can request controller support by filling out a form direct to Mellow PCB).

Listed above are the systems and game pads tested. Unfortunately not every single game pad or stick is going to work out the box, but it most likely can :). I’ve posted links to ping toyoshim for support or addition of controller / system compatibility numerous times on this thread.

If whatever anyone tries with this device doesn’t work, first, update the firmware.

Then if it still doesn’t work please hit up the creator directly to either help you troubleshoot or add to his features for future firmware revisions (which are quite frequent). He’s very forthcoming and giving with his time for this device.

In the meantime stick to the pads and systems tested as working…

I had a case 3d printed before I knew about the new revision having different USB power. If anyone in the US wants it, just pay $5 shipping.

EDIT: Claimed!

So - I have updated the firmware to 1.41 on my two units, and am trying to get it to work on a Taito X2 system.

System boots up fine, but regardless of what controller I plug into port1 on the board - I can't get any action!

I have tried these controllers

Xbox Series S/X (realized this might not be supported)
Xbox One
Xbox 360
PS4
PS3

I am sure it's something dumb.

Anyone make progress on X3? I have an artax multi now in JVS mode (notified as experimental but it works with a type 3 sega IO). Waiting on my IOs from this batch but I'll definitely try when I get them.

The real question is, what are you trying to boot? An original game or a multi drive?

Booting a MultiDrive.

I am assuming my ps4/Xbox controller is essentially plug and play - I don't have to go through the mapping exercise?

Guys, who has tried this thing out on Naomi and how does it work for you? Wondering if HotD is compatible as well :)
Finally had a chance to test this. Tried a couple Naomi’s with no luck, getting No JVS. USB power on this thing is finicky, feels like it will break off. Going to test with Tatsunoko Vs Capcom later today and try my luck with updating firmware.

all in all it seems to power on as expected with a steady led flash looking for a device.

@hyp36rmax - is your game pad / stick plugged into P1 USB before powering on? If you haven’t already, can you try with a standard Xbox 360 controller?

Also if you are powering the device from the Naomi CN connector using a USB adapter make sure you’re getting a steady 5v or try an alternate power source.

Searching Twitter for MP07 IONA and Naomi shows many users using it with no issues under many different circumstances on both N1 and N2.

I’m leaning toward it being a power issue or controller incompatibility.

Have pinged Toyoshim to check this thread, but please do the same on Twitter if any of you are active.

Sorry I can’t help troubleshoot more at the moment. A house move alongside the flooding my state has endured has rendered any plans to easily access most of my arcade gear impossible, let alone finding the time or enthusiasm given all that’s going on. It’s 2:20am here and I just finished up mopping more buckets of water from the rain we had this afternoon/evening.

I have (and you should) have utmost faith in this product and it’s future features. If somehow anyone gets a faulty unit, we’ll sort it out. Also what’s going on in my personal life doesn’t affect my schedule sending out orders for this item.

In the meantime, hopefully other users who have had success can help out. At the very least could people please post up the systems/games/multis they’ve tested and what controller was used?

Hey DJ. Yep seen IONA working perfectly with NAOMI from examples. Yes Stick plugged into P1 USB with multiple Brook UFB's along with forcing into Xbox360 Mode (Press and hold 3P on boot/ or while connecting).

Tried both Naomi CN AND direct USB Power. Darksoft MultiJVS powers on solid through both solutoins.

I'll ping Tohoyshim-san also.

The PCB mounted USB is really finicky. Moving USB cable slightly cuts power intermittently.

I want to be clear the LED is blinking Blue as if it's searching for a compatible JVS to sync with.
