Hey all! Since I had to go through so many dang sites to find all the misc out of stock components and order specific increments of boards to be made, I figured I would order enough to make some extras incase there was interest. Made a ton of these for myself and other FGC friends before and usually just did them at-cost to help them bring retro games to their fighting game events, but knowing it can be hard to find these "in stock" nowadays, it might be appreciated to have some pop up. Anyways, what you get:

Each MG is tested and rgb pots dialed-in; no specific values, just to where it looks correct on CPS2 color bar screens. I'll personally test the exact kit I'm sending to you and send you a quick demonstration video of it working- I've done this with nearly every order so far, and maybe it's a little "much", but I think it's nice to know EXACTLY what your getting, plus you can ask for specific things to be tested if you have a specific use-case (provided I have the hardware to showcase what your asking for). Mostly just for the peace of mind on both our parts that everything's working and good to go when it hits the post. :) For extra tech support, there's always The Main Minigun Thread.

I currently have 0 Kit(s) left! Check back later mayhaps? (6/15/22)

1x Assembled and Tested Minigun (Megadrive 9-Pin Din ver.)
1x Assembled Pacifier case
1x Sleeved PSU harness
1x Sleeved Minigun -> CPS2 kick harness

Here's the last video I sent to the fighting game friend before I shipped his specific kit, just so you can see what I'll send you:

Asking $160 shipped within the US. If outside of the US, DM me and maybe we can work out shipping costs! Happy with this number (aside from the assembly time) for the extra shipping needed to order from multiple sites where I had to source certain out of stock components, as well as being able to send a little donation to frank and co. for the original design work once they're all out the door. :) Also, I had a local shop do the 3D case prints as a kinda last minute thing I thought would be cool to include (since that's definitely not my wheelhouse lol), so I decided to just kinda eat the cost on those since I just thought it would be a nice addition. Edit: If I ever do another order of these, I'll likely go through the same small biz for another run of cases since I'd love to support them and I think it makes for a much better/cleaner kit, though price changes may reflect that when/if I place another order for cases!

NOTE!: As much as I appreciate all of the nice paypal messages, please don't write/mention the word(s) "Minigun", "Supergun", etc. Paypal flags them since they think I'm sending you firearms :P So far we've resolved everything quickly the few times it's happened, but worst case scenario they hold the payment for 72 hours.

Thanks for looking!

How would you connect USB arcade sticks to that setup? Is there a converter?

The most common DB15 -> USB controller adapter that people go for are the @/undamned adapters. There's both a DB15 version and a Terminal Block version. There's also a newer Open Source Alternative from Raph, but I personally haven't tried that out myself just yet. I've only built as many of these as I have in the past to bring out to fighting game tournaments, and most old-heads see the undamned products as the "competitive standard", so that's kind of all I'm obligated to use to please the masses atm.

Last minigun (for now) pending! I should have 3 more available in the hopefully near future, just need to get into gear and sleeve/finish a few more cables to complete the kits. MGs are cased and assembled, just need to get off my behind and bust out the sleeving stuff again lol.

Thanks for all of the interest everyone! :) Appreciate everyone who's reaching out being amicable in the DMs. I've always been more of a build-for-fun then a build-to-sell-er but it's been a great experience thanks to you all :)

All sold for now! :thumbsup:

I'll crunch out some more cables some time this weekend and hopefully put up the last few kits in the coming week. I have a friend who's potentially investing a pretty penny on another CPS3 to help support my local fighting game events, so I promised I would hook them up with an extra kit for being willing to support my scene like that. I'll update how many are available once I'm good to go with them. Thanks again everyone!

Finally got off my behind and finished the extra cables :P

4 more kits now ready to go!

I have a person or two over on twitter who were trying to put their names in the hat before I was finished, but I'm posting here first since I just generally like dealing with AP for arcade stuff more. Thanks for looking! =)

Small update: 1 Sold, 2 more pending, though I've gotta spontaneously hit the road to go see some family for a few days.

Not accepting payment for pending kits until I can get back home to send the usual test vids and such, but just being transparent about things so no one thinks I've ghosted if I don't respond for a bit. Also as an FYI since folks are more then free to still reach out if interested, though if you see I've "read" your DM and haven't responded, I probably just got the email notif on my phone and give the email a peek :)

I'll be back home and ready to take a few more trips to the post in a couple days!

Made it back home late last night, home from work today, and finally into the land of the living once more :saint:

I'll be getting back to those that reached out while I was gone soon! Thanks for the patience!

Update: Two more out the door today, so only one last kit remaining! :)

There's some interested(?) folks that would technically be "in line" for it, but I haven't received any replies for a couple days now (let alone a ping from paypal), so this is my "PSA" on that last kit being "first pay first served" :P Just don't wanna hurt any feelings trying to keep track of lines and ques and orders and them-before-me's on the very last one I've got, so this just makes it as blunt and (hopefully) painless as possible.

Thanks again for all the interest :) You've all been great to work with!

Gone and Gone :thumbup: For the time being, the minigun well's officially dried up.

Thanks again for all the interest folks- you've all been great in DM's :) I'll be a little greedy here and mention that some folks who picked up some kits from me started a feedback thread for me over here, so if you have the time and got something from me, any words (good or bad) definitely welcome over there :)

I'm not in a huge rush, but if/when I do more of these in the future, I think i'd like to have a PSU solution next time? The most common question/comment I got was always AFTER ordering/payment and verbatim was "So happy to finally have a supergun!...By the way, what do I need/what do you recommend to power this?" :P Feels a little bad on my end setting you up with even more ordering to do lol, though I know most folks (or at least I thought they did) were like me and had specific preferences in their home-use PSU's, so I originally wanted to just leave it 100% up to the buyer assuming they already had a specific setup/model in mind.

I can be a little lazy with my own personal setups; throw a switch on it and call it a day, but I think I'd like to get a nice PSU case printed for a FGC friend and I, and barring how we feel about it, I think I'll put together a couple extra assembled switching PSU's to bundle in with the kits to make the package "more complete"? Maybe that one-less-thing to think about when getting arcade stuff going would be worth the extra time/effort? 🤔 Dunno; we'll see!

If you’re thinking about next projects, I’ll just reiterate that I’ve been looking for Minigun 3P/4P adapters and it seems like no one makes them. :D

If you do PSUs, check out printmaker’s 3D printed covers for Mean Well RT and Suzo Happ. Covers the exposed terminals, adds a power switch, IEC plug goes to the wall, Mini-Fit Jr. port goes to the supergun.

Thanks for offering these! Definitely interested in one if you decide to do another run (I was going to bite on that last one if nobody else did but am out of the country at the moment).

These come with a line out for speakers/headphones, correct? Thinking about potentially using this with a Genesis RAD2X on a modern display.

yup, I've been assembling the final revision versions, so there's audio + video out from the megadrive 2 style mini-din 9, as well as audio from the 3.5mm jack. :)

Awesome! I was able to actually purchase (and now have) one of your units from another member.

A quick follow-up question accordingly; I have a Mean Well RT-65A on the way and wanted to confirm the colors of wires in the 1x Sleeved PSU harness (so I don't destroy anything).

Is this the correct orientation of the wires in the 1x Sleeved PSU harness?

Blue = -5v
Yellow = +12v
Red = +5v
Black = COM

Okay, wired it up once everything got here and the wiring above is correct. If you decide to eventually support PSUs, I’d definitely be interested. In fact, my next priority is to get the case above for the PSU printed, hook up a switch, and potentially add in a Molex female cable.
