What's new
hi,

The introduction page says "Repro Floppy Controller $150.00", but is this the same board (837-6443) installed under the motherboard?

P.S. I am using Google Translate. Sorry it's hard to read.

Yes. It is a repro of that pcb. If you have an original it probably is working ok.

That means Japanese Quiz (Quiz Rouka ni Tattenasai) there seems to be a possibility that you can play cheaply.
Other boards are very expensive.;(

Yeah but keep your eye open for deals. S24 isn't the most popular system.

Finally got my Sega 24 Multi that I got since last Black Friday set up Awesome work. Thank you to Apocalypse and Mitsurugi-w.

Does anyone have these issues with Bonanza Bros game?
- The player character doesn't laugh when picks up a treasure and enemy characters don't make sound when shot.
- The zeppelin that picks up the player character during exit has graphical issue (see picture below)
- The screen that displays which stage I think 1st line is supposed to be like "Stage 2" but mine showed Japanese characters (see picture below). I saw Japanese version on youtube showing 1st line like "Stage 2" and 2nd line Japanese characters

These issues could be caused by my eproms. 1 or 2 of my eproms have rust on the legs.

I have the exact same issue. Some files must be wrong?

Absolutely identical (same Japanese texts, same graphical corruption at the end of the level).

Is your multi the custom romboard version as well?

It's the version that completely replaces the original romboard.

Ok. We have found a flaw in the custom romboard design that causes this issue. It's amazing it was not noticed for so long. The error only slightly affects Bonanza Bros and doesn't cause any game to have errors in the rom tests so it managed to elude us until you guys brought it up.

The fix requires cutting three traces and then soldering two small jump wires. The 22v10 gal will also need to be erased and reprogrammed with new code.

THIS ONLY AFFECTS MULTIS USING THE CUSTOM ROMBOARD SOLD BEFORE FEB. 14, 2024. Original multis that plug into an original romboard are not affected.

In order to fix the custom romboard multi do the following:

First, cut the thick trace between the two gal chips on the top side. DO NOT accidentally cut the thinner trace below it.

Next cut the traces between pins 10 and 11 and pins 11 and 12 of the 22v10 gal on the bottom of the multi

Next connect a jump wire between pin 10 of the gal and pin 9 of the U1 eprom. Then connect a jump wire between pin 11 of the gal and pin 10 of the U1 eprom.

Finally remove and erase the 22v10D gal from its socket. Erase and reprogram it with the new code. Contact me via PM to get the gal file.
