In this thread we tube and yoke swap monitors

How close was the curvature on the tube? Would it fit a bezel made for a stock MS9-29?
Most of these consumer sets I've been using for swaps are somewhere between the Blast and Astro curvature--closer to Blast. I don't have any pictures handy, but we used some foam weather seal to close the gap. It's not a perfect fit, but it's not very noticeable when you're actually sitting down playing, and it was a massive improvement over the intense mahjong burn that the old tube had.

If the gap is large enough, closed cell foam is the better way to go and you will barely notice it unless you are looking. YOU will always know as the owner (no escape), but I would be surprised if anyone else would unless you told them.

@nem , would you please share how to measure inductance with the BSIDE ESR02 Pro? I'm working on a tube / yoke swap myself, but I can't figure out how to measure inductance with this meter, and the manual for it (which is quite disappointing to say the least) does not mention it either.

In the specs it says it can measure inductance though, and that's what I bought it for. So far I've only managed to use it for checking for bad caps in curcuit, which also is quite handy.

Do you have a pair of meter leads for it? Stick one lead in connector T1 and the other in connector T3. Then put the tips on either the yoke or the yoke connector and press the button.

The deflection yoke has two sets of coils, one horizontal, one vertical. So four wires in all. Measure between pairs.
