I have rebuilt Dodonpachi Campaign Ver.
It is playable anywhere the ddonpachj rom is playable, including MAME, fpga, and even original pcb (if you're brave enough to de-solder some roms).

I bugfixed boss 4 a while ago but we just realized the Saturn Port has the exact same changes as campaign mode. It would be nice to compare and/or port that code into this project, but I suck at sh2.

Well said and I 100% agree with your sentiment. It would be awesome if there were plans to port it to steam, etc. If they never do, fine that's up to them. I think people tend to forget the actual situation at hand.I'm sorry folks, you have to think this through.
If CAVE is interested in making revenue from their own IP, I am going to do my best to not complicate that. Releasing a free public rom called "Campaign Ver." unquestionably complicates that! Remember as far as I knew, the original was lost media.
If CAVE actually does have the OG Campaign source/ROM, and wants to start commercially releasing it... isn't that... AWESOME? I'm happy the original version is seemingly getting published, finally, and you should be too since none of you are named ZBL-NAI.
If CAVE decided that licensing Campaign Ver. to EXA for an aracde release is the best way to start commercializing Campaign Ver., that's fine by me. But it's not EXAs property and it's not EXA 'locking it' anywhere. That's CAVE licensing it for arcades, as step 1. EXA could practically only license/lock their own EXA-label remix (if they make one). So if you just hate EXA, well, I don't know what to say other than EXA is the entity that is seemingly getting the ball rolling here, and are likely deserving of the credit for enabling this first release. It's not like CAVE even thinks about arcade efforts anymore. Is there a step 2 for ports etc? I have no idea but at least it seems like the party is starting!
