What's new

So whats next on the list of multis?

There are loads of PGM base boards for €50-60 on ebay with free shipping ;)
None with DoDonpachi carts though... :(

model 2/3.....really????
would be great...
with the cps1 multi
and naomi too...

I wonder if it could be possible to include the qsound stuff on a multi PCB somehow?
As CPS1.5 boards are rare and expensive that could be very cool...
It also would be a big advantage over the aje_fr board, besides being actually purchasable ;) .

No it would just be cool if the multi supported the loading of Qsound 1.5 ROMs so if you also owned the 1.5 A-board you could take advantage of that.
If not, well you could always use the hacked ROMs that work with a 12mhz Dash (1.0) A-board.

No advantage over actually being able to purchase a device compares...
This damn this just needs to exist already, the tech exists, the conversion ROMs exist, Darksoft has the skill to put it all together.

DS plz...

you can find cheap IGSs in China (IGS is "chinese" anyway..)

I got mine "new" (with battery mod) in complete original package, with Dodonpachi II kit new sealed all together for a bit more than 100$ .... there weren't much flippers interested in IGS systems by then (maybe now it's different)
Jesus, that's hot. Yes, this source I found is Chinese. It seems hard to even find IGS games now, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Yeah.. link please

I'd love to buy a PGM and they are cheap for just the console but I've been looking for a decent deal for the console plus a working cart and haven't found one yet. it seems easy enough to source the console that I'd might as well just wait to find a game I'm interested in first then snag a console once I've got it.

You should contact SheepNova and see what he has in stock. Will most likely give you a deal on a bundle. eBay or website (http://www.sheepnova.tk/). Mostly gamer condition though...

His PGM1 stuff tends to just need to be cleaned, labels aside. It's the PGM2 stuff that is often beat to hell, but some that is also due to how terrible the plastic is that was used on the carts and the system.

I just ordered a Taito F3 motherboard and cart from sheepnova off of ebay. It's my first purchase from sheepnova, so I hope all is good. Has 100% feedback.

I wonder what a Cave Multi would do to the prices of the original boards...

I guess that would depend if you needed an original board or not for the multi.
I'm honestly not sure on that...as those collectors are into swapping the uber rare, for the uber rare....I think those values, for kits and pcb's would be the same....
What the multi would do is give the normal folks who dont have 1K a pcb to spend, the chance to play some cave love, AND give the collectors a cheap board they could play, while keeping their originals safe, and working.

Darksoft....I understand the love for sys16 obviously and that would be cool....but model2/3 games required SO MUCH in the way of extra controllers, or racing/pot based gun setups....I just dont think it would move enough units...but thats only my 2cents....

I would like to nominate the Psykio SH2 pcb's as candidate for a multi. 6 great shmups, + gunbarich! and TGM2.....I would totally be down for that....especially with DragonBlaze and TGM prices....

Aside from that one real desperate wish....I would love a cave68000 just as much as a cave v1000 multi....and a Konami GX multi, for the two Parodius games, Salamander 2, and twinbee yahoo...plus LE2, and a few randoms.

Anyhow....that's my wish list...and i'm sticking to it.

I've bought an MVS, 2 PGM boards, and 7 PGM cartridges off him, a total of 5 orders. I haven't had a single problem (the last order is still on the way, but I'm not expecting any problems with it either).

I love my G-NET CF card setup but I wonder if a multi could be built on one of the PS1 based hardwares that supports other PS1 based platforms as well.

I know ROMs from the Taito FX-1B, Tecmo TPS and the Raizing hardware variants have been patched for G-NET and Jorg hinted for a while he would release Primal Rage II on the platform, but I'm curious if similar to running Atomiswave games on NAOMI, Capcom ZN-1/ZN-2 or even Namco System 10/11/12 could be made to work with the help of a proper multi setup.

Having a multi that supports most of the PS1 based titles would IMO rival the library on the CPS2 or NAOMI in terms of size and quality.
