Is it possible that my test with the phone charger is not good enough? Like, could the psu give off enough power for phone charger but not enough for monitor?

Wow, I did not think of that! I did this test using a phone charger and sure enough, the phone started to take a charge. So with the PSU and Chassis out of the way, I may just have a blown tube? I guess? Time to start researching, thank again for your help.

Oh I see. When I power on the cabinet, the board fires up but not the monitor, so I wanted to verify it was not a psu issue. Was trying to look up the best way to test with a meter, that the 2 prong ac slot on the psu was giving sufficient power.

Wow I think I found this at the right time. I almost started a thread regarding this power supply. I was needing to test whether or not sufficient power was being sent to the monitor. Is it safe to say that the monitor is powered from here and if so which connector?
