Just open it slowly from the fan side (put board upside down, then pull the two halves apart from the top of where the fan area would “rest” on the B board. Pry them open slowly (emphasis on slow!) which will increase your chances of separating them intact.

Ah, I see. You’re the owner of both! If those programs roms are foil backed then you might have a legit factory-made HSF2 board. 👍🏻 Someone would need to look at the silkscreen on them to confirm though. Also, that non-silkscreened PAL still looks suspect.

That should say “SKIP” instead of get hung up there. My $ is that this BIOS might’ve been modified (not by Capcom) to disable the CD check. Could also be my tired eyes, but the BIOS chip also looks like it could have been reworked.

All that program rom swapping can loosen the customs’ solder on these 30+ year old B boards. Try reflowing the DL-1525 & seeing if that fixes your problem.

I would be interested in ones that protect Japanese candy cab-sized marquees and movestrips.
