246 future proofing/multi

Hello, I’ll soon pick up a 246 running Tekken 4.

My original question was if I could futureproof it with an alternative to the dvd drive, but now I see on these threads that there is a way to run a multikit. What is the best way to do so? Is it worth it? What games are available?

Don't know about the multi kit, but the optical drive emulator is a game changer. The DVD drive in the 2x6 is obnoxious. I could feel the whole cabinet shaking when the disc was spinning.
