My cab hasn't arrived with me yet, but positive feedback so far for both Nishi and IM. Would recommend to anyone who's willing to buy on the basis of photos alone. Doing it via this route has meant that there's no language barrier for me, which is helpful since I have zero Japanese. As long as you're not expecting perfection (and who is at this point in time buy cabs that have recently come out of service) you won't be disappointed.

Nishi works at AGI (see above for cab price list). They sell used amusement stuff in/around Tokyo. I'm pretty sure they sell quite a bit of stuff on consignment. IM is Import Monster which is primarily a car/car part import operating nearish to Nagoya.

I’ve heard of Import Monster in the car world before and they’re well regarded - cool that they can help with cab imports as well

I used import monster for my stools import and all worked a treat. The downside was they only shipped to Melbourne which added some cost and complexity. Good info though @Dzhay. Thanks for trailblazing for the rest of us.

I'm in Australia. I've wanted a cabinet even since the 90s after playing them right through the 80s but it's ben complicated living in a regional area and being a fairly quiet individual.

So this still hasn't happened but this is "year of the arcade machine" according to my own new years resolution. Leading into it I'm building superguns. Started with the easy stuff. Buying Neo Geos and PGM boards.

Tomorrow I'm picking up a car full of classic boards so I will expect the rest of this year at least is set aside for learning how to repair as many of those as I can.

Incidentally, I understand there may have been some issues with IM recently. This has not effected me at all (at least yet). But Nishi at AGI will be all over that issue.

In a separate conversation on AA, Leo suggested approaching zaxx who bring in containers from Japan regularly, and might let you chuck in a cab. I'm not sure whether this idea would float, but I've found zaxx (and highway for that matter) to be helpful when I've spoken with them, so I'm sure they'd answer the question.

Just mention that last bit to try to keep the dream alive for anyone who's a ways down the path without any import solution.

I picked up my boards, there's nearly 40 of them, most are pretty rough as they were originally sold to the guy I got them from as parts boards and he was just going to re use the eproms, He didn't have the heart to do it in the end. I hope to fix around 10 of them, been testing the Jamma boards. Two Mortal kombats aren't far from working, one of them boots into the game and only has graphical corruption so that one is hopeful. Most the boards are early 80s games. Just going through and identifying them from roms the last couple days.

4. Looking for a source or anybody with Vewlix L top (square FPS0202n) and bottom (round F77G131-3) speakers to finish my current restoration.

No stock boss. The highlighted ones are currently in stock ':^)

That said, Nishi is great. He'll help you find something you're after. They located a cabinet not listed for me and my wallets been angry at me ever since.
