I found a bug in guilty gear isuka, the game black screens after losing. I have attempted to fix this without much success, I strongly suspect this happens on the original converts too, can someone check (you need to be on B/G bios to run the original convert).

I changed the AW loader part entirely to have something that matches as close as the original whole still booting on the C/H bioses but the bug still occurs.

Hy

i am having Problems when i set fist of the North star to USA region.

it blacks out after the intro and boots into error 33 afterwards. set to japanese it works fine.

any ideas?
I managed to replicate this and get error 22 after the title screen on the North America region.
I would say that if you want the game in English just keep it on the Japan region and set the language to English instead, there is no need to change the region, that said, after investigating further it seems to be a rom issue where assets are missing for the North American region. The Europe region works however.
yes can confirm that The error still appears even after using the bios @Murray recommended :(

Does this happen on the original convert with an older bios? (rev B or G), I strongly suspect it does, I messed with the loader part on it and still got the error, it seems likely to be a rom issue (the rom was probably not mean to run in "North America' region, it was probably just sold as Europe (Export) in North America, does anyone know if the "North America" region can be selected for Fist of the North Star on a real Atomiswave console?

Well, I've run into a bit of odd behavior. After upgrading to the latest multiBIOS from the official BIOS and grabbing this set of conversions, all AW games boot to a black screen. I get sound, but no video. Unless I wait for something like 20 minutes. At some point, video returns, but I'm not sure when since I walked away and came back later.

What are you using to boot the roms?

Which software and what version Pi?

Well that's the same setup i'm using and it's definitely working fine for me with these roms.

Have you tried anything else on the new bios you got? Do naomi games run ok on it?

I had the same issue ages ago, go find the thread. It was the multibios in the end.

I just added a aw-violent_metal_slug_6_DBG_AW08 rom which enables the debugger (and allows to pause the game), assuming your buttons are mapped properly.
On OpenJVS that's button 4 and 5 player 1 (L3 + Square on a ps3 controller on the generic profile)

Thanks for all your work!
I just updated my Naomi2 bios and tested a bunch of the newly working AW games from Murray's list and so far everything was working flawlessly!

I just added a patched version of KOF Neo Wave with all characters unlocked, patch provided courtesy of YZB.

In the selection screen, on the avatars of K’, Maxima, WHIP, JOHN, and Yashiro Nanakase team , press and hold the start button to select the corresponding hidden characters

Hold down the start button on Mai's avatar to select angel

Press the start button on SHINGO YABUKI avatar to select k9999

Added a bunch of Metal Slug 6 rom variations:

aw-violent_metal_slug_6_DBG_pause_AW08 : Red blood, Adds the debug menu, pauses upon pressing the start button (pressing pause twice shows the debug menu)

aw-violent_metal_slug_6_pause_AW08: Red blood, pauses upon pressing the start button

aw-metal_slug_6_DBG_AW08 : Regular Metal slug (censored), adds the debug menu (the red blood can be added back in the debug menu on DIP2 right above the difficulty level setting)

aw-metal_slug_6_DBG_pause_AW08: Regular Metal slug (censored), adds the debug menu (the red blood can be added back in the debug menu on DIP2 right above the difficulty level setting), pauses upon pressing the start button (pressing pause twice shows the debug menu)

aw-metal_slug_6_pause_AW08 : Pauses upon pressing the start button

I just added aw-the_rumble_fish_2_Characters_Unlocked_AW19, which, as the name implies, has the extra characters unlocked.

UPDATE:

Rom replaced by aw-the_rumble_fish_2_Unlocked_AW19

To play as Beatrice:
Place your cursor on Hazama on character selection screen.

Press: 4x →

Hold both "Punch" buttons and press "Start" for Time Attack mode.

Hold both "Kick" buttons and press "Start" for Survival mode.

I just tested these. It's not quite right.

So, here's what works.

Press start on the following (no idea why some of these are hidden characters??)

K >> Geese Howard
Maxima >> Ramon
Whip >> Vanessa

Yashiro >> Orochi Yashiro
Shermie >> Orochi Shermie
Chris >> Orochi Chris

Jhun >> Kim Kaphwan

Pressing start on MAI or Shingo doesnt show hidden character, it just jumps the cursor back to the default portrait it starts on (kyo) So it's like it's trying to trigger something but it doesnt work.

So, here's the characters that are missing from the PS2 version of the game.
- Angel
- Kusunagi
- May Lee
- Rugal
- Seth

As far as I'm aware, only these characters are available to unlock on the AW version.

- Kim
- Orochi Crhis
- Orochi Shermie
- Ramon
- Vanessa
- Geese

I'm pretty sure the PS2 other characters don't exist on the AW version of the game. I could be wrong, but im pretty sure i'm not.
