Calling all Monkey Ball joystick experts!!!

Yeh don’t follow my pic

Its wrong as far as i can see !!!!

I have no idea why this came with a 10 way !

It should be 8 way.

I’m going to follow this info here

Maybe this stick I have was wired bespoke for another cab ..

For exsample - I’m using the Capcom io for now for analoge interface .

So you can just pick the
4 wires with du pont connector wires right off the io.

Or use 8 way and match the pinout to the pannel connectors shown in picture ..
Would it be wired for an Astro/New Astro / Blast City? Maybe?

check pin 1 on player 1
Analoge interface for 5v+ To pin 8 Gnd .
With multi meter .
👍.

Then you can’t go wrong ..

H & V

the orange and red wire) is joystick Y position, pin 3

the orange and gray wire is joystick X position and pin 4

the white wire) is GND.
Yellow 5V+

Yeh maybe I will check that out..

It's probably that. In the Astro and the Blast, there's a 10-pin auxiliary connector that doesn't terminate into anything. It's just a passthrough. The other end would have then been wired to the analog input of a JVS to Jamma board.

At least that's how I would have done it.

Cheers for confirming that 👍
I’m making a 10 way blast pass through to the Naomi 8 way
So I don’t need to cut it off, and it will do all three cab types then , ;)

I might as well do that, as wold need to change anyway..

I will do a better
Pic later .
Only just got it going from the jvs io ..
I was using a Capcom jamma io before ..

So took this opertunity to get the correct io connected up.

And have all connections as they should be .
