Hey guys.

I'm trying to netboot the Chihiro Type 3 in my OutRun 2 cab. I am able to connect to the Chihiro and ping it, and send a game bin over.

However, I noticed that my DIMM firmware is very old - it is version 1.00, even though it is a Type 3. Apparently this is uncommon.

What are my options for upgrading to enable netbooting? I'd like to not have to hunt down upgrade GD ROMs or buy another board. I'm hearing that it is not possible to send a firmware upgrade for 3.17 to firmware this old.

Thanks!

The “chihiro new firmware” pinned thread has a bin file that you can send “as a game bin” that might do it.

i was concern too but it brought my dimm from 1.12 to 4.00 in one shot
